"We did the demo on our old two-tiered decking. Betterliving built a new upper deck from composite with aluminum railing. The lower deck was replaced with as 12X15 sunroom. The process from start to finish was a pleasure. All employees were friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and prompt. Price was better than anticipated, so we went with a 4-season sunroom instead of a 3-season. The worksite was safe, clean and orderly, and the quality of the build was excellent. They worked through some miserable cold weather too. Deck – Betterliving’s construction quality was a major improvement to what we previously had. Their suggestion to use two colors on the railing worked out great too - spindles are a different color that the rest of the railing. Sunroom - also very solid construction. It is insulated well, and also helps even out the temps in the family room it is attached to. The gable style not only looks nice, but makes the sun room look bigger. They built a small landing off of the sunroom entryway too. It is important to note that they installed the flooring and contracted the electrical. Flooring and electrical work were included as part of our quote with them. Not all of our quotes from other businesses included flooring and electrical work, and would have been an additional cost. Having everything included in the quote also meant we had one project, not several projects. Deck/sunroom/landing materials – decking and landing materials were the same composite materials. The sunroom skirting was also the same composite. This ties everything together visually, and improves the overall look. Electrical work – Knorr Electric completed all the electrical in the sunroom (interior and exterior outlets, exterior floodlight, and hung a ceiling fan). They also replaced all of our outside lighting on the entire house while they were here, and moved a bathroom light inside. They were also friendly, knowledgeable, skilled, and prompt. And quality work from them too. We will definitely contact Betterliving and Knorr again for any additional work we want done. They are highly recommended! Note that Betterliving in the Erie, PA area is connected to DBC Remodeling and Construction (same employees). DBC came highly recommended to us from a friend."

"I have hired EM Painting and Remodeling for many different projects big and small, and I could not be happier with my experience. Elis and his crew show up when they're supposed to, work hard, do great quality work, and their prices are very reasonable. I recommend him to all of my friends and family members whenever they need painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, cabinet, or tile work done, and they've all had good experiences. Good contractors are hard to find, and he is definitely one of the good ones!"

"As far as remodeling projects go- and we have done quite a few, this was by far the easiest job we have hired. Every step of the way John informed us on the progress of our remodel- we added a room in the unfinished part of our basement. He finished on time and within budget. (He even took care of a few mistakes made by other contractors- many of which he didn't even charge us for!) We will definitely have them back again. HIGHLY recommend."

"Shawn did a wonderful job remodeling both of my bathrooms. They were total remodels, including new cabinets, toilets, shower, bath tub, paint, base boards, etc. Shawn was on time every day, always kept me informed about how things were going, and is a perfectionist. The new bath rooms are perfect, and everyone who comes over remarks at how great they turned out. I would recommend Shawn to do any remodel project you need done. He is a great guy, honest, and very easy to work with. Thanks Shawn!"

"Very efficient and knowledgeable. Would rehire"

"Tim is very responsive and very easy to work with. He did a great job installing a new laminate floor in my kitchen, laundry area and first floor bathroom He offered to do extra work such as installing new hoses for my washing machine to prevent any water damage. He pointed and corrected out what the previous installer did wrong which caused the floor to creak a lot. The previous installer was with a local bath and design store in Mentor who did a good job with cabinets, Cambria countertops and lighting installation but they failed miserably with flooring installation."

"John and his team did a fantastic job with out basement remodel. Fair price and great work. Very professional and detail oriented. Understood our needs very well and offered some suggestions that helped improve the space. We'll get a lot of use out of our new room!"

"Overall I was very satisfied with the quality of work and the knowledge possessed by compass contracting. They provided me with all of the information necessary to make design decisions through out the project. They treated my home with respect and kept everything very clean throughout the process. I canâ t wait to have them back for my next project!"
