Working with First Class Construction was like working with the Dream Team! They were professional, provided exceptional quality, and creative solutions. The name of their business says it all, my experience was First Class! First Class Construction helped to make our worn out old house into our dream home, all while being budget conscious. They even helped to resolve issues with our HVAC contractor, who was hired independently. There was no downside to working with this company - I just can't say enough positive things.

We hired First Class Construction to remodel our first floor living space. Matt made the process simple and stress free. This professional company provides Impeccable workmanship! I would definitely recommend them for any remodeling project !

We hired First Class Construction to finish our basement. We LOVE the way it turned out! But more importantly, Matt made the process easy, was constantly communicating the project timeline, and cleaned up every day when they were done (necessary for us with two little kids running around). FCC does high quality work at a reasonable price and within deadlines. We hope to redo our kitchen in the next couple years and will hire FCC to do it. 5 out of 5 stars!

This team of professionals were always in tune with the specific details which made this new area in our home more than we ever imagined it could be. Their advice in lighting, upgrades to windows, trim, crown moulding, flooring etc show cased their experience and knowledge. Each day upon their arrival the area was covered (we kept our original hardwood floors) and the room sealed off. Every day before their departure the room was cleaned, tools stacked, and floors vacuumed. In a large construction project of this type, we had minimal dust and very little distraction to our life. The team worked harmoniously together and always gave us time to review at the end of the day or set aside time for us to meet and discuss what ever issues needed attention or what changes we may have needed. With any project, there were bumps in the road; but it was a smooth road with First Class Construction Inc. The business owner and or the team lead immediately taking whatever action needed to resolve any situation as it arose. Once the project was finished and the punch-list created, all was taken care of immediatley. We are already planning the next project. A sewing room created out of space in the basement.

We hired First Class Construction for a previous project in 2014 and did not hesitate about hiring them for our kitchen/bath project.  The name defines exactly what they are "First Class".  Matt Urbas the contractor is excellent to work with, always available and responds quickly to questions, texts and emails.  We upgraded our kitchen with new quartz countertops, sink and backsplash and also both bathrooms.  Matt worked with us and provided the names and addresses of suppliers to work with.  We chose the countertops, tiles and sinks and Matt coordinated with all suppliers ensuring they were delivered and installed per the schedule.  We had a work order change (decided to have kitchen painted) which was no issue.  We also had an electrical outlet added to our kitchen island along with LED lights to the bottom of the kitchen cabinets.  Dennis and Russ did an excellent job.  They were also great to work with.  Very clean and neat.  After each day, they would clean up and you would never know we had contractors in our home.  We are so very happy and satisfied with the finished product. I wish there was a way to attach before and after pictures so you can see what a great job they did, but unfortunately,  it doesn't seem there is.   We highly recommend First Class Construction and will use them again for any future projects on our home.

Matt the owner is very professional, reliable and has great attention to detail.  He came when promised to review the work we wanted done and  provided an estimate to us within 5 days.  They built a linen closet in our bathroom which included permanent shelves, door and trim.  The area originally had a vanity and mirror which they removed. 

The linen closet looks as though it was built with the house.  The quality is first class.    The workers were on time every day and were so very professional and very meticulous.   After they had started the project we asked if they could also paint the bathroom which was not part of the original project.  They were able to include this request.   Everyday they laid  down covers on our floors and at the end of each day they vacuumed and cleaned the bathroom. 

The shower doors were installed and look fabulous.  We just love our bathroom - looks fantastic

We would definitely use First Class Construction in the future.  The name is exactly what they are "First Class"

Matt was extremely professional, personable and clean. He removed a bad
tile job in my bathroom from a loser I hired from Craigslist, let that
be a warning, and he repaired the shower walls and installed new tile.
He cleaned up every day before he left. When he said he would be there,
he was. I would definitely hire him again. He is now my go to guy for
all home repairs!

Matt Urbas of First Class Construction and his team were perfectionists. They worked diligently and efficiently, and they kept us within budget. They cleaned up after the work day, every day. AND they were fun!!!  Matt listened to our ideas and made suggestions for improvements. Our remodel is beautiful - FIRST CLASS!

Contacted at least 6 to 10 contractors to get quotes for this project. Some never returns my calls, others that did look never provided a quote. Some were helpful but were also discouraging with extensive talk about unforeseen problems that may come up during construction. Matt from First Class was very encouraging from the first meeting. He showed confidence & knowledge about doing our job. I was please when his quote was the lower of the only two I received. Through out the job, Matt and his crew where very responsible and professional. We never heard a curse word from any of them. They worked hard & only took one half hour lunch break during the 8 to 10 hours a day they were here. Extra effort was made to make sure our house was weather tight and when it did rain they came to check for & fix any leaks. Through out the process they kept us involved in the project making sure that we agreed with any critical decision or necessary variations to the original plans. As a result of their actions we continued to use them beyond the effort of the initial contract. 
We will continue to use First Class Construction for the remainder of this project and will recommend them to others.

  I would not hesitate to use them again.

Matt and his team at First Class Construction in Painesville, Ohio were top-notch professionals! The quality of workmanship was impeccable, and they were helpful in the decision-making process during the remodel. Consistent work scheduling to ensure that our project was done on-time and on-budget! They were fun to work with and cleaned up after every work day throughout the process. First Class Construction is who we'll call for our next remodel project!

Our master bathroom was in dire need of remodeling.  We had hired Brian Pauley with Renovatemenow, who COMPLETELY botched the job.  They had left open sewer lines, uneven tile, molding/rusting areas in our shower.  It was a complete disaster.Matt Urbas with First Class Construction was a God-send. He replied very promptly to our request for an estimate, and was quickly able to identify the areas that needed addressing.  We had a limited budget, and he was able to work with us to get all our dream items within a workable budget.  Given the disaster left behind by Renovatemenow, the final price was more than the original estimate, only because of unexpected problems that Brian Pauley left behind, that wasn't apparent until they did the demolition. I was impressed that Matt and his crew cleaned up so thoroughly after each work day, and left absolutely no mess behind.  They working in our garage (cutting tile and framing), and our garage is actually cleaner now than when they started because of all their cleaning!

The job took longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait. The tiling job is absolutely gorgeous.  Our shower looks like a designer bathroom, and I can't believe we get to use it everyday! 

We absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our bathroom.  Before, I dreaded going into our bathroom, because of how horrible it was.  Now, I absolutely love spending time in our beautiful bathroom!! I would HIGHLY recommend First Class Construction and Matt Urbas! We will be renovating our basement in the next year or so, and I will definitely be going with First Class Construction again!

This was an enormous job to rehab this little house. It is highly functional now for its intended use. The job took longer than I expected, but the workmanship (vaulted ceiling, etc...) is great. I would use them again. We did our own painting and installed the fireplace ourselves. The design features really set the place off. Few minor hitches that were immediately corrected. The warranty is a plus. Good communication. It cost a little more than we budgeted, but the extras were worth it. It looks like a new house. The woodwork makes all the rooms look consistent in style even though the original little house was old and empty for years. The appraisal value almost tripled. The utility bills are minimal and the place is tight as a drum. I highly recommend Matt and his crew. Were very nice and professional. I would use them again.

All of these jobs were preformed with quality service and workmanship.  Everything was done efficiently, with good quality materials, and workers who were courteous and thorough.  They cleaned up after themselves so I was left with no cleanup. 

I was well pleased and will definitely call on First Class Construction to do additional home repair projects.

Matt and his entire crew were always professional, friendly, helpful, and easy to work with and to have in our home.  They did outstanding work and we would hire them again to work at our house.  We would highly recommend them to work at your house!

From the start, Matt was on time.  When he provided the estimate he was up front and honest with how his company operates.  He indicated that certain aspects of the estimate, primarily hardware related items, were estimated on an allowance basis.  We could choose to purchase items ourselves or have him purchase.  His estimate was a bit higher than we expected but when the estimate was explained it was obvious that what we expected the cost to end up was definitely low.  Too much HGTV.  He gave references and encouraged us to visit some of their other projects.  He encouraged us to visit during the construction and ask questions.  Once we reviewed the estimate and got back to Matt, the project did start on time.  He required about 10% at the signing of the contract and about 50% at the start of the project to buy supplies.  The final payment would be due at project completion and acceptance by us.  We could even supervise for the whole day if we wanted to.  Some modifications needed to made during the construction.  He and his crew were quick to point out some issues that we had to deal with.  Together we came up with an agreeable solution that looked great in the end.  They were also able to fabricate some specialty items that required good craftsmanship to match the chosen cabinets and trim.  The materials used were really good quality and the installers used were top notch.  His crew cleaned up every day so the rest of the house was reasonable during the construction.  Trash and other debris was usually removed every day, particularly during the demo.  They also were done between 4:30 and 5:30 every day so we were able to have our evenings.  There were times when we both needed to be out of the house.  Matt was in contact with us throughout the project.  Based on their reputation, we had no issues with not being in the house.  By purchasing some things on our own, we were able to save about $2000 from the estimate.  They have good contacts for things like marble/quartz/stone countertops and were able to visit the site and get a "remnant" for about half the cost that was given at Lowe's or Home Depot.  At the completion of the project, together we went through the complete project and agreed to whether it was done to our mutual satisfaction or not.  His crew on the last day did a through cleaning of the whole house including dusting and polishing. 

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the quality of the work, the materials and integrity of the Matt's company.  I would recommend his company and we will likely use him again for a future project we have in mind.

Matt was a good listener to our wish list.  After helping us make decisions, Matt came back with a detailed estimate for further refinement.  A schedule was set and time frame for finishing was established.  Workers arrived at 8 am sharp each and every day and worked until 4:30 pm.  Workers started each morning by placing a tarp to their work entrance so as not to disturb the living quarters.  At the conclusion of each work day, the construction area was cleaned.  Matt would communicate and reveal the work completed each day and ask for feedback.  Matt also offered new suggestions during the work for lighting and appearance.  We could tell he was taking pride in his work.  Matt and his workers were a pleasure to work with.  We would definitely use  and recommend them again. 

First Class Construction was just that - FIRST CLASS.  They started when they said they were going to and finished up on time. As the demolition progressed, they cleaned up daily and took care to protect the carpeting and floors going to the bathroom.  The demolition went well. The installation went as planned.  The tile job was perfect. The electrical was done correctly.  Matt and his workers were very polite, and professional.
I would use First Class construction for any future work as well.   I can't say enough about the professionalism and work this company does.  They do it right or they don't do it. 
Pricing was competitive as well.

   All in all,  the project went to my expectations and beyond.  The crew of workers from First Class Construction were all very pleasant, understanding and respectful of my goals, and good clean up.

  I have put 0 in the cost, because all jobs are different.  I felt that the cost was a good value for todays times and the cost of materials and labor.
