"Guys showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed problem. While here we discussed she and load on house panel and had them install a whole-house surge protector. I had a post house get toasted by a lightning strike so seemed prudent given electronics in house."

"I am changing my review from a 4 to a 5 rating. Jaxxin did an awesome job. He did an extra repair for us and needed a part. He called the hardware store to make sure they had it and went to pick it up and came back and installed the sensor. We will definitely use JM Electric again! Thank you for the great service!!!"

"FANTASTIC! Mr. Moyer and co. work hard, and do beautiful work. My living room walls were extremely lumpy, and very ugly and my closet upstairs was full of holes and crumbling plaster. Mr. Moyer and co. skimmed both rooms and they look better than I could have imagined! It puts the rest of my house to shame. They are also all extremely nice people and an absolute pleasure to work with. They are really a jolly bunch and clearly have a great deal of pride in their work! Mr. Moyer also patched a hole in one of my ceilings left after I had removed a ceiling fixture. He was quick, fun to talk to (he even showed me how to patch plaster!) and it looks like there was never a hole in my ceiling! I would highly recommend them and will be using them for all my plastering needs! Best people to work with, EVER! Thank you to all three of you!!!"

"We had two skylights that were leaking in heavy rain conditions in spite of minor repairs. Gary Brand of G.A. Brand Renovations inspected them, recommended replacement with new units, and gave us a free estimate for the replacement. He identified some modern energy efficient skylights and we contracted to have him do the replacement. He removed the old skylights, rebuilt the roof opening, installed the skylights, installed the flashing and shingles, and sealed everything. No more leaks. He then trimmed out the interior opening, stained the trim to match existing trim, and installed remotely-operated, solar-powered shades. It was a top-notch job.
Gary is a true craftsman which comes from many years of experience as a home builder.

"Greystone was one of the last of 10 contractors I met with to discuss my project. When they came in with innovative ideas on ways to cut costs, then produced a reasonable estimate I chose them and couldn't be happier. The job was completed on time and turned out better than I could have imagined. Very meticulous, skilled, great design ideas and a courteous crew. I'd recommend them highly to anyone who asked."

"It was a big deal purchase.  My experience was okay.  The owner of the company came out and made arrangements.  He saw what he had to do and everything.  The guys that came out and actually did it were okay.  I wasn't real impressed with them.  They were also supposed to change out a light in the back but they changed out the light in the front instead.  It's like they weren't listening to what I was saying that needed to be done.  They did fix it right away.  It was okay.  Price was great.  The guys showed up over an hour late but they did call and say they were going to be late.  They installed it and left, they didn't go over anything with me or didn't show me anything."

Chandelier Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Recessed lights, as with any kind of light, can be a fire hazard if not installed correctly. Because of this, it’s best to have a professional complete the installation for you. Properly installed lights should not pose a threat and often have heat sensors installed in them that turn the light off if the temperature gets too high.

Yes, tackling blown fuses and broken light bulbs is definitely safe. Fixing the wiring on a strand of Christmas lights isn’t a good idea, though, because of the danger of shock and fire. However, if you don’t feel comfortable working with any type of electricity, consider hiring a professional Christmas light installer to manage the job safely and efficiently.

Wiring or installing a light the wrong way can lead to potentially dangerous scenarios, including shock and even electrical fires. If you’re the least bit uncertain whether you’ve wired something correctly, the best and safest approach is to call in a professional electrician to handle the installation for you.

You will likely need an electrical permit to install outdoor lighting, but it depends on where you live. Some municipalities don’t require a permit for electrical work, but you should call your building department or ask your outdoor lighting installer if a permit will be necessary. Your professional should pull the permits for you, if required, and close them out after the work is done. Either way, you will be responsible for the permit fee, which typically falls between $50 and $150.

When it comes to installing recessed lights in your kitchen, place them over areas where you perform specific tasks. This includes over the countertops, sink, and dishwasher to provide illumination when you’re working in these areas. Make sure to space them 12 inches apart from each other and up to 18 inches away from the cabinets.
