"As I requested they provided the cost for drain snaking upfront. A simple procedure that most others would not quote. (They wanted to do a separate "diagnostic" visit and additional fee. The work was fine. The technician very competent and concientious about keeping things clean. The only rub, they wanted $179 to put the toilet back in (way out of line). I think they could have told me. Nevertheless, I drove to home depot for a wax ring and had it done in 10 minutes. Overall, a 4 oout of 5. If they charged a more reasonable rate for reseating the toilet i would have had them do it, and would have rated a 5."

We wanted old overgrown shrubs to be removed and replaced with shrubs that would not require much upkeep and trimming. He told us about evergreens that have various hues and sizes. He planted seven shrubs, there are three different hues and one shrub that will grow taller. Then put stone down as dressing for the bed. We could not be happier. A neighbor hired him to work on her landscape after she saw his work. Kirk and Rob were great!!!"

In November of 2024, when meeting with the sales point of contact, we had a professional experience. They took about two hours to come out, hear our wants/needs, give us additional ideas, take measurements and put together a quote. We ended up awarding OBA our project Dec 2024, and the project start date was April 2025. Before the project began, it became clear that multiple items from the initial agreement and draft did not make its way to the project team that would actually be handling it. As a result, we had to approve change orders that cost us several thousands of dollars that were not a part of our original quoted figure (but would have been if everything were accurately depicted from the get-go). You will repoint over a fraction of the old mortar, but you should scrape away 1/2 to 1 inch of mortar from the joints before repointing. Otherwise, the repointing is only masking the weakened mortar instead of actually replacing it, which could put your chimney at risk of bigger, more expensive damages later on.

The best tool for drilling into brick or mortar is a rotary hammer drill which is a large hammer drill with low rotation speed and high torque. Regular drills with a hammer function are also excellent tools for drilling into brick when the diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch or less. It might be possible to drill into brick with a standard drill if you’re only drilling a very small hole, but note that masonry work will put a lot of wear on a standard drill, and the tool may not be strong enough to get through brick.
