"FANTASTIC! Our wooden deck just wasn’t holding up even though it was well maintained. We met Sergio who listened to our needs and utilized his experience to design what we wanted. Shawn put together a proposal that was more than fair and we went forward with the project. Needless to say they exceed our expectations! The work was done on time, the crew was professional and efficient, and the finished product was well worth the expense. If you’re looking for a Five Star Company to do your concrete right, for a fair price, call Shawn at McCune Company LLC! Thank you Shawn & Sergio!!"

"They did an excellent job installing a brick patio and planter for a very reasonable price. They came when they said they would and did the job in in a very short time frame because they have the proper equipment and sufficient skilled workers who work together efficiently and in harmony to produce a beautiful result. The owner Jason is a very nice person, easy to work with, planning for the project and producing the expected final result."

"These guys worked a miracle. My kitchen floor was sinking into my basement. To set the jacks and beams for the floor, Rocco, Sean, and their crew had to crawl back four feet, through an area that had only about a foot of clearance and that was mostly blocked by an HVAC system. Then, they had to excavate manually so that they could pour concrete support for the jacks. The crew completed the job in a day and a half and were courteous, professional, and polite throughout. I highly recommend them for any foundation repair project."

"Jamal and Benjamin came to our home today to diagnose the source of water damage to our living room ceiling. They quickly determined that the cause was water seeping through small holes in a caulked area of our second-floor bathtub. Both technicians were knowledgeable and personable. Everything about WyattWorks is polished and professional, from their modern and clean graphic identity to their brightly painted, late-model trucks and their technicians' neatly pressed attire."

"It was a difficult job; blasting an 1850s exterior doorframe and original chimney. They tried a variety of blasting methods in order to scar the wood as little as possible and finally decided to use a heat gun, which worked well ,Shawn and his foreman kept going until I was satisfied with the job. They even stayed an extra day to finish properly."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

If your old bricks are in decent condition and you have the space to store them where they’ll be protected from the elements, keeping old bricks is often worthwhile. You’d spend anywhere from $70 to a few hundred dollars to have them removed from your property, in which case you won’t be able to use them for future projects. Holding on to old bricks in good condition means you can use them later for other DIY projects, potentially saving yourself some money on disposal and new materials down the road.

You can use adhesive strips to hang lights on brick—just make sure you get outdoor mounting tape and not just any old double-sided tape for your project.

You should clean your home’s brick once per year. This applies to exterior brick, but also to cleaning brick fireplaces. Create a homemade cleaning solution with equal parts vinegar and water. Use a soft-bristle brush to scrub the solution into the face of your brick and remove dirt, algae, and stains. Cleaning will protect brick from damage and boost your home’s curb appeal.

On average, a quality exterior brick stain can last between 10 and 20 years, and sometimes even longer. While it will look its best for a minimum of three to five years, its total lifespan depends on several factors. These include the quality and type of stain used, the condition of the brick, and the thoroughness of the surface preparation, such as proper cleaning. Following the manufacturer's application instructions and applying a sealant as a final step is also crucial. The stain's longevity can be affected by your location, climate, and the brick's exposure to harsh weather, high traffic, and other elements. Over time, the stain may begin to fade or look dingy due to weathering, erosion, dirt, and debris. Compared to paint, brick stain generally has a longer lifespan.

Choose from an abundance of natural and synthetic options when perfecting your hardscape design. Stone veneer costs a bit less, holds up against the tests of time and weather, and also works best in curves and complex walls.

Natural stone, however, provides an organic look to a lawn while providing just as much strength as veneer. Don't forget you can chat with your mason about other common wall materials like brick, cinderblock, and concrete.
