"We had a great experience with Franklin Heating/Cooling and their employee Tony when they came to fix our AC. From start to finish, Tony was professional, efficient, and incredibly honest. It's not every day you come across a service company that doesn't try to upsell unnecessary repairs or replacements. They took the time to thoroughly assess the issue, explain what needed fixing, and offered a clear, fair solution. We really appreciated his transparency and how he genuinely prioritized our best interest over making a quick sale. It's rare to find companies that are this trustworthy, and I will definitely be using them for any future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!"

"They were able to come out right away. The leak ended up being caused by both a clog and a hole in the pipe. They repaired both quickly."

"We engaged Teeters Construction (“Teeters “) to install a Simonton Sliding Patio door. They were recommended to us by the Simonton sales personnel at the Easton location in Columbus, Ohio. The Simonton patio door was installed on 9/13/16. We called and emailed the owner Brian Teeters on 9/19/16 with the following concerns: 1. The latch on the patio door sticks and can be hard to move to the open and close position. When we looked at the door in the show room, the latch moved easily and had smooth operation. 2. The outside vinyl trim on the upper left corner of the door was not reinstalled properly. The portions that overlap were reversed, 3. There is black material in between the window panes on the bottom of the glass. There was some on the inside pane and I was able to remove the black material there. 4. An item of mention is that the latch on screen door was not installed properly. This had to be adjusted, leaving one or two additional holes in the door frame. Teeters used subcontractors to install the door. The handle on the door was eventually replaced. We found that the door handle instructions required certain screws to be hand tightened and for power tools not to be used on these handle screws. Despite this, the subcontractors used a power screw driver to affix the handle to the door. The door had to be replaced. The replacement door was very hard to slide, and therefore, had to be replaced. After numerous phone calls and emails the door was replaced in March 2018. The same subcontractors were used and they again used a power screw driver to affix the handle to the door. This time the screw on the handle for the replacement door broke. As a result, the entire door had to be replaced. The handle on the second replacement door was loose and never fixed. The bottom lock on the door was not aligned properly and had to be moved leaving two holes from the original position. Due to the mispositioning of the bottom lock, the catch plate for the bottom lock is scratched and looks terrible. After numerous phone calls, emails and stating we would get our attorney involved, Mr. Teeters returned our call and in late 2018 came out to try to fix the handle and bottom lock. These were never satisfactorily fixed as the handle is still loose and the catch plate was not fixed. Mr. Teeters quit returning my phone calls. We will never use Teeters Construction again."

Our family-owned business is three generations old. We started in 1952 meeting the needs of homeowners that just weren’t being met. As times and demands have changed, so has our company. If the customer isn’t happy then we aren’t doing our job. No one understands that better than we do. We took the concept of warranties and turned it upside down. Cost is determined by the job. Additional contact names - Nancy Gross & Steven Morbitzer. Additional DBAs - ABC Home Services & ABC Home Services Inc & ABC Gas Repair. Additional email - [email protected] & [email protected].

"I have spent hours on the phone trying to get a response. Always getting the afterhours even during the day. I have not gotten any emails or response for my service request. This home warranty sucks."

We specialize in inspecting and cleaning chimneys and stoves. We also offer exterior and interior masonry repairs. We install stainless steel liners, caps, and lock top dampers. Exterior inspections are free. Power washing and water sealing done in Spring and Summer. Call or message us today!

"Whempys was great, I got stuck in a jam when the furnace company that upgraded me to a high efficiency furnace left me with a water heater venting thru a B vent that was too big for it. Whempys gave a fair estimate based on the inspection, then gave me a call to discuss alternate options, and even gave me some insight on why the furnace company doesn't do the flue lining job themselves anymore. The guys came out right on time, gave me info as they worked, and were very professional and did a great job. Two other chimney companies were not able to get the job done, I'm very happy Whempys was able to do it, and they did it great!"

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on furnace size, ductwork modifications, labor, and efficiency ratings of the chosen system.

Although a gas company supplies gas to homes, connecting gas appliances, like a dryer, is not their responsibility. The primary role of a gas company is to safely deliver gas to a property and maintain the gas supply lines up to a specific point, typically the gas meter or shut off valve. The task of installation is usually taken on by the homeowner or professional dryer installer.

Fixing a gas leak can take anywhere from one to 24 hours, depending on the location and magnitude of the problem. A gas line specialist or gas plumber should be able to give you an estimated time to completion once they evaluate the situation. If your city’s utility company works to fix a gas leak, it will likely have information available about the anticipated time for gas service to be restored.

Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.

Only yellow Teflon tape is approved for use on gas lines. Also called yellow PTFE tape, it is thicker and specifically rated for use on natural gas and propane connections. Standard white Teflon tape is not safe for gas applications. If you have questions about sealing gas line connections, contact a pro like a gas line contractor or plumber who installs or runs gas lines.
