+ 0 moreWe had a ruptured water line underneath our paver patio. Mulbarger was quick to come out for an estimate and performed the service the day after we gave the go-ahead. Some of the other quotes we received called for busting up our driveway and tearing up our patio. These guys were able to excavate in the side yard saving our patio and driveway. All friendly and professional employees and WAY less $$ than the other quotes I received which also would have required me to fix our driveway and replace the patio stones. They were done in two hours. I can't recommend these guys enough.

+ -1 moreI had water dripping through the ceiling, and the ceiling drywall was sagging. Jerry and Zane removed enough of the drywall to discover a leak at a 90 degree bend in a cold water pipe. They replaced the pipe bend with a 90 degree brass fitting, and then checked the house water meter to confirm that I had no remaining leaks. They offered to show me how to make that check, and I accepted.

They are quick to respond and perform the work in a timely, neat and professional manner. They are very knowledgeable and I was very pleased with their work. (The date/amount I quoted above was for the last service they performed in my home, which was subsequently sold. I no longer live in the area, but would not hesitate to use them again should I return to the area.)
Description of Work: Leaky shut-off valves (2 different bathrooms), installation of garbage disposer, and overall check of plumbing prior to sale of my home.

+ -1 moreMulbarger Enterprises used to be Mulbarger Twins. I have lived in Gahanna over 31 years and Mulbarger has always replaced my sumps for me. My west lot line is drainage for surrounding lots and my sump runs more often than any of my neighbors' pumps and, therefore, croak faster than others in the neighborhood. Mulbarger has always been prompt, professional, and reasonable in price and I trust them. Especially after my experience earlier this year -- I would not have known any better if someone had said my pump needed replaced when it didn't.
Description of Work: Sump pump wouldn't turn off automatically. Service person came out and said was stones shifted under float preventing float from lowering far enough and explained how to remedy the situation myself if it happened again. Did not charge me anything.

+ -1 moreI did buy the disposal from Lowes because it was less expensive than from Mulbarger (for the same unit) but they had NO problem with me buying the unit from a store and having them install it.
Description of Work: My garbage disposal died, which was the plumbing event I was waiting for since I'd killed the master bathroom sink years ago by using too much Drano and didn't want to spend the hourly money for a plumber just for that. The sink still worked, but looked horrible. I've used Mulbarger several times before in the 12 years since we built this house so I called again. This was a Wednesday and I'd asked if they could install on that Friday since I had the day off. No prob. but they couldn't promise a time. They called around 8:30 am saying he was on his way! He took out the old disposal, had to remove the old unit's cord since the new one wasn't long enough, and put it in as promised. Then he went upstairs to do the sink. I'd REALLY fried things under there so it took a bit longer to extricate the old pipes and trap and mechanisms and he even found a leak I'd never noticed before. Anyway, he put in the pieces I'd bought years ago, fixed the leak, and it still was within five bucks of the quoted price to just install the disposal. I'm STILL a happy camper with them and will always try them first. The surprising factor to me is that Mulbarger was considerably less expensive to install the disposal than was Lowes, who I went to first and could not promise me any kind of install date. I would have thought the big box stores would be lower, but was proven wrong.

I RECEIVED A CALL ALMOST AN HOUR BEFORE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE THAT THEY HAD A CANCELLATION AND WOULD LIKE TO COME RIGHT AWAY (IT HELPS THAT WE LIVE 1/4 MILE FROM THEIR OFFICE). THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN UNDER AN HOUR FOR THEIR FLAT RATE FOR THIS TYPE OF FIX. IF ONLY EVERY CONTRACTOR WERE THIS EFFICIENT.
Description of Work: ONE OF OUR BATHROOM SINKS WAS GETTING HARD TO SHUT OFF ALL THE WAY. SINCE WE DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING TO DO WITH PLUMBING I CALLED HOPING THEY COULD COME RIGHT AWAY.

+ -1 moreHERE WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SELL THE CONSUMER MUCH MORE THAN WAS NEEDED. INSTEAD, I PAID THE MINIMUM AND ALL MY HOT WATER PROBLEMS WERE RESOLVED. I HAVE THEIR STICKER ON THE HOT WATER HEATER AND IN MY FILES. IF I HAVE ANY MORE PLUMBING PROBLEMS, THESE FOLKS WILL GET THE JOB.
Description of Work: ASKED THEM TO ESTIMATE THE COST TO INSTALL A SECOND HOT WATER HEATER, AS WE KEPT RUNNING OUT OF HOT WATER. THE INSTALLER ASKED ME A FEW QUESTIONS, AND THEN DECIDED THAT THE ONE I HAD WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. HE ACCURATELY DETERMINED THE PROBLEM WAS A FAILED DRIP TUBE AND REPLACED IT. HE TOLD ME THE HOT WATER HEATER I HAD WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR MY HOUSE AND FAMILY.

+ -1 moreTHE GAS COMPANY NOTIFIED US THAT A PIPE TO OUR METER WAS LEAKING. WE CONTACTED MULBARGER TO FIX LEAK. THEY SENT TWO MEN OUT WHEN I THINK ONE WOULD HAVE SUFFICED. I WAS CHARGED FOR TWO. THEY TOOK A LONG TIME TO MAKE THE REPAIR. TWO DAYS LATER I NOTICED A SMELL AROUND THE METER. MULBARGER CAME BACK OUT AND SAID THERE WAS NO LEAK, JUST RESIDUAL FUMES. TWO WEEKS LATER FUMES REMAINED SO I CALLED GAS COMPANY. THEY CAME OUT AND FOUND ANOTHER LEAK THAT HAD APPARENTLY BEEN CREATED DURING EARLIER REPAIR WORK. MULBARGER USED TO BE A GOOD COMPANY BUT CHANGES IN PERSONNEL HAVE BROUGHT THE QUALITY DOWN.

I FOUND THE OFFICE PEOPLE TO BE RUDE AND DIDN'T EXPLAIN THAT IF THEY SENT 2 PLUMBERS OUT THAT IT WOULD COST $90.00 AN HOUR- THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE $60.00 AN HOUR. THEY DIDN'T HAVE A PART AND HAD TO DRIVE TO 3 DIFFERENT PLACES TO GET IT, THEN CHARGED ME FOR THE TIME AND OVERCHARGED ME FOR THE PART. THEN WHEN I TRIED TO SHOWER LATER, I HAD NO HOT WATER AND I ASKED THEM TO COME OUT AND FIX IT, AND THE PERSON THEY SENT ACTED PERPLEXED BECAUSE HE HAD TO BE HERE. I WILL NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN.
