We engaged Teeters Construction (“Teeters “) to install a Simonton Sliding Patio door. They were recommended to us by the Simonton sales personnel at the Easton location in Columbus, Ohio. The Simonton patio door was installed on 9/13/16. We called and emailed the owner Brian Teeters on 9/19/16 with the following concerns: 1. The latch on the patio door sticks and can be hard to move to the open and close position. When we looked at the door in the show room, the latch moved easily and had smooth operation. 2. The outside vinyl trim on the upper left corner of the door was not reinstalled properly. The portions that overlap were reversed, 3. There is black material in between the window panes on the bottom of the glass. There was some on the inside pane and I was able to remove the black material there. 4. An item of mention is that the latch on screen door was not installed properly. This had to be adjusted, leaving one or two additional holes in the door frame. Teeters used subcontractors to install the door. The handle on the door was eventually replaced. We found that the door handle instructions required certain screws to be hand tightened and for power tools not to be used on these handle screws. Despite this, the subcontractors used a power screw driver to affix the handle to the door. The door had to be replaced. The replacement door was very hard to slide, and therefore, had to be replaced. After numerous phone calls and emails the door was replaced in March 2018. The same subcontractors were used and they again used a power screw driver to affix the handle to the door. This time the screw on the handle for the replacement door broke. As a result, the entire door had to be replaced. The handle on the second replacement door was loose and never fixed. The bottom lock on the door was not aligned properly and had to be moved leaving two holes from the original position. Due to the mispositioning of the bottom lock, the catch plate for the bottom lock is scratched and looks terrible. After numerous phone calls, emails and stating we would get our attorney involved, Mr. Teeters returned our call and in late 2018 came out to try to fix the handle and bottom lock. These were never satisfactorily fixed as the handle is still loose and the catch plate was not fixed. Mr. Teeters quit returning my phone calls. We will never use Teeters Construction again.

Brian Teeters sold and installed Simonton windows and ProVia doors to us in 2011, and has stood behind the warranty every step of the way. In 2016, they replaced our back door for a manufacturer's defect, no charge. In 2021, two days before we put our home up sale, a cleaner damaged the mechanisms of 14 of our 15 installed windows. We contacted Teeters immediately. (A shout out to Linda for talking me off the ledge, figuratively speaking!) Not only did Brian assess the damage the same day we contacted him, but he managed to complete the work before the sale to the new owners closed despite COVID19-related supply chain issues with the supplier. Our choice of Teeters Windows and Remodeling has proven out for nearly a decade. We recommend them without reservation. Gary Ralston

We called Teeters in August because we had a roof leak in our garage (they had installed the roof). The first available time anyone could come was 4 weeks later. So four weeks later Brian Teeters came and to our surprise did not even go up on the roof to investigate. He said he would have one of his guys come out the next week to go up on the roof. Weeks and weeks went by and no one came. We called Teeters repeatedly and sent emails and were either ignored or told someone would be out soon. Finall after no response from Teeters, we called four other roofing companies and all four came out the same week we called. We received estimates either the same day or next day from these four companies. A Teeters employee did finally come, went up on the roof, told us his thoughts, but then never sent an estimate. We obviously chose one of the other roofers to fix our roof leak.

We had a great experience with Teeters. We had them replace all of our windows, siding, and gutters. They did a great job in all respects. Brian was our initial point of contact. He walked us through various options and helped us develop the best plan at a reasonable cost. Then, Gary was our lead contractor for the siding and Tony was our lead contractor for the windows. They both were very easy to contact, explained what they were doing, gave good estimates for time to complete the project, and were just friendly and good to work with. While Teeters does much bigger projects than ours, it was a big deal for us. They never made us feel like we had a small project. They were responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend Teeters Construction to anyone.

They were not interested in quoting because I had not closed on the house yet. I was trying to stage work due to the oncoming cold weather. This is the second fail I have had trying to work with them. I got a bunch of grief in 2010 when they quoted in windows in my current house. I am toast. Never again will I deal with these peeps

This was an excellent experience. Brian Teeters is straightforward, honest, and answered any question I had in a straightforward manner. We talked to him first at the Home and Garden Show in Columbus. He had no sales pitch, no pressure sales tactics (no salesmen either - we dealt directly with Brian throughout the estimating process) and no show offers, just straight talk and excellent and fair prices. I liked that he had a variety of window manufacturers' products to choose from. We went with Simonton vinyl windows and have been very happy with them, even through the very cold snap in January of this year. There have been no problems with the windows at all. Brian Teeters had told us in advance who the crew would be. They all work for Teeters (no subcontractors) and are very experienced. They worked well together and were very easy to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better crew. They told us when they would be here, updated us with any changes, and showed up when they said they would. The work was completed in two days. We did not have Teeters do the painting around the new sliding door, instead we did it ourselves. We had a small complication when we decided between the initial and final estimates to go with half screens instead of full size screens. The order got sent in for full size screens by mistake. Teeters corrected the mistake and got the half screens, but it took about six months before the last half screens got here and were installed. They let us keep the full size screens. This in no way detracts from the wonderful experience with the company. Teeters does a number of other types of work, and when we get to those projects we will definitely be using them for that work.

It went fine. While everything was done under Teeter's, they have subcontractors that provide most of the labor. When I went around to check things out, if I had any questions Mr. Teeter would send the responsible party right out to take care of everything.

We didn't get to work with them, other than talk to them. Talking to them, I love Brian Teeters. He's very friendly and super knowledgeable. We chose not to go that route though because we found out we can get them fixed. We can actually get them fixed, we don't have to get them replaced and save about $32,000. So that's the route we decided to go. We met in person. They arrived on time. Whenever we made appointments they got here on time. But there were several times we'd email and we wouldn't hear back. So sometimes emails would be a little later. The price seemed pretty reasonable for window replacement and he was going to include all new woodwork and he was going to stain all the woodwork. We were going to go with them when we thought we had to replace the windows. That's who we were going to use. But we found out we could fix the wood and we went that route. The price was pretty common, it was expensive, I wish it wasn't so high but I'd guess we'd give them an "A". I would use them again.

They arrived and did the job when they said they would. The owner, Brian Teeters was very professional and came into our home and walked through the various options with us. Recommended what would be best for our home. So, we were happy with his straight forward kind of advice.

This is my third job to be completed with Teeter's construction.  Rod and Clayton were great.  Rod gave a fair estimate and was honest about exactly what needed to be done.  My roof was far worse than other companies that estimated identified.

Clayton and his crew were very respectful and worked hard to complete the job within two days. The entire process was quick and the crew cleaned the site up so well you couldn't tell anything was done!

I highly recommend Teeters Construction.

They did such a horrible job on this one. My daughter even used them. That's why we used them, before they finished her job. Otherwise, we would have never used them. It was just not good at all. They were supposed to be finished in six weeks and come May, they were still not done. The communication was horrific. They were not good. They tell you one thing and do another. They left so much of it to us to decide, when we had already decided with them. We ordered carpet. The day before the install, they called us and said that there was no install because the carpet never existed. It was horrible stuff like that that delayed the job. Communications with the Teeters head man or whatever here was unbelievably bad. You call and call and call and call and get nothing. He didn't know what time they were going to show up the day they were coming. He never knew any of that. It tears up your whole house, even if it's in the basement. They had to put walls in and everything. They didn't do anything to minimize the dust issue.

I replaced 10 vinyl claded wood casement windows with vinyl casement windows maufactured by Simonton.  Brian Teeters, owner of Teeters Construction spent several hours over several visits in helping me decide on which manufacturer to use.  I had spent several years researching windows and had many installers at my home.  Most were at my house giving their pitch.  Brian Teeters could explain most manufacturers window construction and detail pros and cons of each.  So, he was a valuable resource in me being able to make a decision.  His installation person has been in the business 30 years and when he arrived to install, he found that  my wood windows did not have removable stops in the frame.  The stops on the wood frame was mortared into one peice, so he had to cut the windows out to the two by four framing and reframed my vinyl replacement window to fit.  Both the installer and Brian Teeters missed this fact when they measured my windows for ordering.  They told me they had never seen a one piece wood window before.  There wasn't any increase price to me even though it cost more to install my windows.
The installation was done professionally with efficiency and the quality of work was top notch.  My new windows look great.  However, the vinyl casement window supplied by Simonton did not open and close properly.  They have a new hardware design which the installer was not familiar with.  Simonton came out to my home within days with a technician who adjusted every window until they all worked properly.  Only time will tell if my new windows will work properly and without any further adjustments.  I hope I have no further problems but if I do,  I have no concerns that my contractor, Teeters Construction, will step up to the plate with Simonton and get any problems resolved.
The only negative thing I will say is that Brian is sometimes hard to contact.  Phone calls do not get returned in a timely matter.  There needs to be better communication within his office or the owner needs to delegate some authority to his staff so his clients phone calls are returned by someone.

We met with Brian Teeter to explain what we had in mind. Brian made recommendations that not only look great, it was also a great price. My husband and I are very pleased with their quality of craftsmanship and professionalism. We will definitely use this company again. Thank you Brian and Brian!
