"This is a follow up to my new heat pump installation in 12/2022. Everything is working great. The variable stage heat pump costs more, but it is much better than my old, basic single stage. The air handler was in my office closet, so I spent the day working from home with them working in the same room. Funny and honest techs...I actually enjoyed seeing the entire install while doing my own work. I highly recommend them!"

"At the first pass at installation - the wrong (smaller tonnage) A/C unit was brought to site.  This was discovered after I asked for verification of model number.  Installation was aborted at that time.  Approximately one week later the proper unit was obtained and installed.  Final installation of the proper A/C unit + plumbing + A-coil was performed professionally and neatly.  I am completely satisfied with the final installation.
Advice for anyone installing a new A/C unit from ANY supplier.  Verify the product prior to installation.  Like Ronald Reagan said - "Trust but Verify".
Advanced Services ongoing maintenance (A/C unit checkup springtime, and furnace checkup fall) has been excellent.  I was using them for ongoing checkups prior to purchasing the new A/C unit, and that was part of my decision-making process for selecting Advanced Services for the A/C unit.

"The service was excellent and the price very good. Peter the technician was very knowledgeable and provided good advice on keeping the entire system running smoothly. He even rerouted a drain pipe from the evaporator to make it more efficient and gave pointers on keeping it clean, while also installing cut off valve to shut down the system in case the pipe becomes clogged, at no additional cost. Peter left the service areas cleaner than when he arrived. The service manager even came to assist as a fellow employee had called in sick. That is teamwork and a manager that cares about his people, and his costumers. He knew I didn't want someone in my house until 9 p.m. that night, and that Peter probably didn't want to do that either, so he came to assist so they both got out of here by 5 p.m. with a wonderfully done job. I can't find a reason to do business with anyone else in this town for my heating and cooling needs."

"Initially, the instal went as planned. However, upon leaving the installer told me the tub faucet might move a little. If it did, I was told “just push it back” into position. However, the next morning there was a rather large water spot (2 feet in diameter) on the kitchen ceiling. In total three trips to my home were needed to correct all issues but one. The face bowl lever is buried behind the spout and very difficult to reach/use. At that moment, I decided not to seek another attempted repair."

"My contractor left us without completing the air conditioning systems. Justin stepped in, got everything ordered, and completed the project in a very timely manner. He was also very responsive and knowledgeable to any and all questions I asked him about the project. I would definitely recommend this company to any family or friends who need any HAVC work in the future."

"It went well. The only thing that I did not understand, was the extra $38 for the cleaning of the flame sensor. The deal said it was included in the original cost of the deal: "verify line voltage; low voltage; micro amps of flame sensor; clean if below 2.0". If there are going to be embedded charges, they should be specified in the wording of the deal. As a result, the $39 tune up costed $77. Kinda misleading. $39 for a Furnace Tune-Up, (60.61% Savings), Reserve Now for $29.25 Gas Furnace/Heat Pump tune-up includes: cleaning; safety check; check thermostat and filter; clean blower section (does not include squirrel cage); clean burner section (if accessible) and check condensate drain; visual Inspection of wiring, vent pipe; heat exchanger, and burners; verify line voltage; low voltage; micro amps of flame sensor; clean if below 2.0; inducer capacitor MFD; proper inducer amp draw; blower amp draw; blower capacitor MFD; ohm test hot surface igniter; measure for proper gas pressure at outlet; measure and verify proper temp rise and verify safe CO level in home; check humidifier and humidifier pad; analyze combustion gas: O2%, CO, CO2 and measure flue temp"

"I ended up not using this company this time due to the price but I have used them in the past and all I can say to get what you pay for. Benjamin Franklin plumbing has been taking care of my plumbing needs for many years and provided me with excellent service. While they are a bit pricey, they are the best. You don't just get high quality work, but also get excellent customer service. I will continue to use them in the future."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Depending on the size of your home and system, as well as any upgrades or add-ons you choose, it may take between three and five days to completely replace an existing HVAC system from start to finish. Your contractor should be able to give you an estimate before they begin the actual replacement.

It takes about five to 10 minutes for heat to reach a radiator, then about one hour until the radiator fully heats up a room. The exact duration depends on the size of the room and how far away the radiator is from the boiler heating system. Heating up an entire house could take up to two hours.

Oil boilers provide reliable heating, efficiency, and long-term cost savings compared to electric options.

Yes. In many cases, switching from an old furnace to a high-efficiency boiler can help you save money over time. You can also save money by switching from an electric boiler to a gas boiler, which costs much less compared to the energy bills an electric boil can create. Boilers are often (but not always) more efficient than furnaces, too. Then there are discounts, rebates, and incentives that can help you save on the initial costs.

You can use a boiler and a furnace, although it’s not common to use both for whole-house heating. For example, your furnace may take care of HVAC heating through your vents, while a boiler powers your floor-based radiant heating in the bathrooms. Mixing and matching like this gives homeowners a variety of heating possibilities.
