Installing the roof required removing sections of siding and then replacing them. Jason had told me that his company didn't normally deal with clapboard siding. Xterior Solutions said nothing about it. I contacted the manufacturer (ABC) and reached a sales manager who said that in case of a warranty claim, I only needed to cite the order number for the original sale from ABC to the contractor’s lumberyard. But there was no way for me to obtain this number: the lumberyard wouldn’t give it to me, and Xterior Solutions had different numbers. Finally the ABC sales manager looked it up for me. I think that when a job is finished Xterior Solutions should get this number and give it to the homeowner with guidance on the warranty."
