We don?t aim for satisfaction...we aim to amaze you Insulation install/upgrades Insulation removal/disinfection (botanical solutions ) Attic storage platforms Sound attenuation New and existing homes Discounts and remote consultations Crawl space vapor barrier Covid-19 compliant and protocol services

"I had consulted with many many contractors before hiring Jairon Hidalgo and No Draft to insulate my attic, install vapor barriers in my crawl spaces, and do insulation in the joists in my basement. Jairo and his team were punctual, clean, and got the job well. He was not a “done and run” type of a contractor, but stood by his work for over two years. I called Jairo recently to check on a downspout problem during an epic storm, and that same night I made a huge mistake and accidentally unplugged my basement sump pump. Jairo showed up the next morning while I was at the hospital with my child who had an emergency, and once he found out the dire situation I was in, he just took care of the problem himself. He didn’t ask for money, but just did another man in need a much needed favor. They don’t make people like Jairo anymore and my friends in the industry who know him can attest to his character and work. A++++++"

"Project went well and smooth. Sales person was knowledgeable and provided me a good option to address my project need. Scheduling and billing were done via email and smooth. The work itself was done as expected and post work clean up was great. Back office staff were proactive to address issue during work. After all, this is a professional company. I highly recommend them and will hire them for future project."

We are family owned and operated. We provide quality spray foam insulation, cellulose (blown in) and fiberglass insulation for both new construction and existing homes. We take great pride in our work and always leave the job site cleaner than we found it.

"Great, I’m really happy with the close cell foam. I’m glad I went with foam instead of the fiberglass insulation. They were perfessional and organized."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

You should not put fiberglass insulation in basements, since fiberglass is known to trap mold and mold is more commonly grown and produced in basements. You should also avoid placing insulation near water heaters, oil burners, or other hot appliances. For more information about the best and worst places to install insulation, consider hiring an insulation professional.

Yes, insulated vinyl siding increases the R-value of your home. Depending on the quality and brand of the insulated vinyl, you can get an R-value that is up to 5 times greater than traditional vinyl siding. This can be fantastic for homeowners who are trying to lower their utility costs.

The most obvious con of injection foam is the cost. It’s much more expensive to install than fiberglass or spray foam, but it may be your only option (unless you want to remove entire walls around the home). Another con is that it involves drilling into existing material, which has to be repaired after the foam is injected. Some injection foams are made from products that aren’t environmentally friendly, and improper installation can lead to trapped moisture, which can lead to expensive mold remediation down the road.

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

If you have blown-in insulation, using an insulation vacuum will quickly and easily suck up all the insulation. Many come with built-in HEPA filters for added safety. While some people suggest breaking up large batts and feeding them into the vacuum, this can expose you to more fiberglass fibers. With batts and rolls, carefully removing them and placing them into garbage bags is a better process.
