"We had our roof completely replaced and we feel very fortunate to have met Joe from Buffalo’s Best Roofing to walk us through the work they would do for us. He helped us select a beautiful shingle to match our existing siding. From start to finish we couldn’t be happier. Thank you to the crew at Buffalo’s Best Roofing."

"We love our new standing-seam, metal roof from Stellar Roofing!!! It was simple to work with them (very low stress). And, they were friendly, efficient, and did top notch work. From beginning to end was about 2 1/2 days :) As far as we are concerned, Stellar Roofing is the new gold standard!"

"We removed an old wood stove from our 200yr old Clarence house and needed the chimney removed. Austin from Oâ Connor Contracting was so easy to work with for scheduling and once he came and found 3 layers of shingles, tin roof, subpar decking, and a missing joist, he and his team was still able to remove the chimney and redo the roofing in under 2days. Austin was amazing at communicating during the entire project: since I was at work most of the time, he sent many photos and updates so I was very comfortable with the obviously bigger-than-expected project. Thanks Austin!"

"We received quotes from four different contractors. Most of the quotes were in the same price range. However, we chose MP Roofing and Siding because of Mikeâ s knowledge about siding products, his enthusiasm, and because he took the time to understand our ideas for the house. His work team was here at 8 AM every morning and worked fast and efficiently until the siding, window trim, porch ceilings, shutters and gutters were finished. They replaced the storm doors and Mike installed new light fixtures on the porches. There were a few places on the house (itâ s over 100 years old) that didnâ t require siding but looked bad, such as the kick plates under the door. They replaced those and a few other areas to give the house a completely made over, refinished look. Mike constantly checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied with the progress. He monitored the work every day. I would always get an immediate response if I texted him. Mike is friendly and enthusiastic, but at the same time very serious about making sure that our house looked spectacular! We are 100% pleased with the outcome and glad we chose MP Roofing and Siding."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Generally, the term “rolled roofing” refers to MSR (mineral surface roll) roofing. This type of roofing is similar to asphalt shingles but comes in a roll that’s unraveled and installed over your roof deck. There are many types of rolled roofing, including TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen roofing (aka torch down roofing).

If a home isn’t properly winterized, the pipes can freeze and burst, causing flooding and massive property damage. It can also leave your house susceptible to pests, which can infest it and cause significant damage. Winterizing a home can prevent many potential issues and save you money on costly repairs.

DIY is possible for minor repairs. Professional services ensure proper sealing and alignment for larger issues.

Thatched roofs are expensive for two main reasons: high labor costs and low supply of available roofers. The labor is more intensive for a thatched roof than other roof materials, so your contractor will work longer and charge more for the installation. There are also few professionals with the specialized skills and experience to install thatched roofs. Since the supply of available professionals is low, the cost of compensation is high.

A roof overlay will last an average of 15 years, compared to the 20 to 30 years or more that a full roof replacement for a shingle roof will last. An overlay’s lifespan may be shortened even further if there’s underlying damage to the existing roof or structural problems with the roof supports.
