"Unfortunately the brand new fans (right out of the box) did not work properly. Kosta, the owner, then explained it was because the fans were only capable of operating at one speed, low. This was not the case as the fans had multiple speeds as we later found out when paying yet again, to have the fans properly installed. (Now they world on all five speeds.) Kosta did not do the work properly. In addition, the outside timer was also improperly installed rendering it useless. Worse, even though he didn't know how to set the timer he proceeded to install it anyway with a non-trivial charge. The only properly installed work was 2 electrical outlets. The cost for all the mistake and poorly done work was exorbitant -- and that was before the additional cost to hire someone to do the work correctly. Consumer beware."

"On April 21, 2018, Ernest Serghi of American Plumber, LLC gave an estimate to replace the existing 1.5” underground gas line from the gas meter to the pool heater. This line is buried 30”. I told him that I wanted a 1.5” poly gas pipe buried 18” which was specified by the Holmdel plumbing inspector. He agreed to this and I signed the contract. On May 9, 2018, Ernest came to do the job and dug a narrow trench with a small hand-operated trenching machine and rolled out the yellow poly gas line, I measured the depth immediately and told Ernest that it was only about 12” deep and I wanted it 18” deep as he had agreed to. Ernest said the Code only requires a 12” depth and refused to dig the trench deeper. Ernest did the job in just 2 hours since he did not dig the trench 18 inches as he had agreed to. I have photographic evidence that in one area the gas line is only 9 inches deep. This is a violation of NJ Fuel Gas Code 404.9 that specifies a minimum burial depth of 12”. On May 10, 2018, the Holmdel plumbing inspector looked at the job quickly and approved it. However, he failed to measure the depth of the gas line and did not realize that it did not meet the minimum burial depth required by the Code. In the contract job description, Ernest did not specify in writing the 18” burial depth of the gas line that he had agreed to. I should have required this wording since Ernest did not honor our verbal agreement. I have contacted American Plumber, LLC several times in an attempt to have them correct the code violation and adjust the contract price to reflect the work that was actually done. Instead of trying to correct their error, American Plumber, LLC is demanding payment in full and filed with the Clerk of Monmouth County a Notice of Unpaid Balance and Right to File Lien against my property. I have filed complaints about this unscrupulous and dishonest contractor Ernest Serghis of American Plumber, LLC with the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau."

A relay , A transformer, and a low water panel . He said he would be back Friday 11/29/24. After numerous and numerous of phone calls giving me a run around claiming they are speaking with the technician and office is open until 6 pm. Well 4:45 I called for the last hope of the day since I hadn’t gotten any call backs. To my disbelief the office was closed already. I was sent to service call and they took the message and said they would forward it and not one individual called me back . Saturday 4 days without heat on the coldest week of the year, I spoke to a lady ( wont mention names) and after a lengthy conversation I was told first well we let people go home early Friday to spend time with family because the day before was a holiday . I was totally beside myself. I stated understandable but I was told they are open until 6 pm and 4:45 everyone was gone. She claimed someone will definitely reach out today . Today came and went and still no phone call. Day 5 of no heat tried to get another company because Yost and Campbell was not communicating . Day 6 no heat , phone calls for days from tenants with children complaining constantly and no success with heat . Monday afternoon ( Also leaving names out) a female representative kept reaching out to me cause I wanted to cancel ) after numerous text messages back and forth trying to be apologetic and concerned came back with a quote with all inclusive 3 parts and labor . I agreed , giving them another try to complete the job . I paid the requested 50% and finally on December 7 ( 9 days without heat) the supervisor of technicians got the boiler up and running . ONLY TO MY SURPRISE was told I had to pay an extra $512.34 . Like a fool I paid the total that day after the 9 day nightmare and spinning of my head with calls , text messages etc etc. happy to have heat for the people. Now we are on December 12,2024 trying to get my refund on an not in the agreement and I’m totally being ignored . I can not believe a company as reputable as Yost and Campbell would do this to a customer and sadly having a technician call the customer and lie that an extra part was put in when he installed the exact three parts we agreed upon and to make a customer feel bad by saying now they are going to take it out of his salary which affects his family and I replied I as well have a family and grandchildren . A company of their calabra and 85 years in business to put a customer through this for $ 512.34 is totally unacceptable and disgusting . As of tonight no return calls , no text messages ."

After our 30-year old AC system started to fail, we met with Michael from Sales who arrived right on time and did an excellent and thorough job of providing us with various options from repair to full replacement. Given the age of the system, we decided to go with the replacement. With this July being one of the hottest months in a long time, Jessica from Scheduling did her best to get us a date as soon as possible and scheduled the team for early arrival to minimize the hot weather conditions in the attic. The AC Team of Rob, Anthony and Jay arrived promptly at 7:30 am, and quickly got to work removing our old equipment and installing the new system. Rob and Anthony worked in the sweltering attic while Jay worked on the compressor in the blazing heat outside. Rob, as team leader, did an excellent job, kept us informed on the team’s progress, and answered our many questions. Despite the unbearable heat, the team kept at it and finished the whole job in one day. They each told us their goal was to get us air conditioning so we wouldn’t have to suffer through the rest of the week of soaring temperatures.
