"They do what they say and show up when they say, and the installation was quite rapid. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. Ron was both kind and professional. He performed extensive checks. The procedure was simple and enjoyable. The warranty is fantastic. Very confident and at ease, and well worth the money."

"Everything was fine. It worked out fine. It was reasonable. Of the places I've tried, they're all about the same price. I was happy with their work and price. I was satisfied with the work. The estimate was clear. The salesperson made me understand why I wanted that. It was a good sales contact. The implementation was fine. They came when they said. The only thing that was weird was that the machine was acting up. It took a lot longer than they thought. The application didn't go as smoothly as they would have it because the machine was giving them trouble. All in all, it was a fine experience."

"First rate service from start to finish. Stu gave helpful information advising us clearly what did and didn't need to be done saving us money and time. The day of installation went smooth, punctual arrival, no mess and very effective with readily apparent increase in temperature after the work was completed."

Customers say: True professional

"We worked with Ecua on a pretty complicated project for an old poorly maintained house. The project included removing old roofing, fixing rotten framing, and installing new roof / plywood / Gutters. William was very responsive, tried to salvage old material that is in good shape, accommodating for contentious change in scope (chimneys, rotten wood etc), and was happy to come back and do some cosmetic finishing after concluding the project. Finally, he honored his word / prices even after increasing in nation-wide material cost"

"Took a bit of effort to set up due to scheduling but all went smooth. Needed to move a cabinet to an empty space and install a dishwasher and it went smoothly and the results were good. Costly at $1000 but the other options would've been even more."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

The primary benefits of an egress window include providing a safe emergency exit, increasing natural light in a space like a basement, and improving ventilation. Additionally, installing an egress window can often increase your property's value.
