Discount Insulation offered me an option to insulate the attic floor instead of spraying foam on the attic ceiling. This option was much better in terms of insulating the two floors below that are actual living space. Since the attic is used only for storage, this was a much better and less costly option. They were efficient, neat and easy to work with as well. Excellent value for the money and later received a notice from ConEd that we were using 25% less energy than the year before. Win Win!

Stu was fantastic. It was a project that came up unexpectedly and had to be done in a hurry in conjunction with an architect and contractors. Stu went above and beyond. He contacted the architect and they came up with a plan. He scheduled us in as soon as possible. He couldn't have been more co-operative or communicative. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

He was very flexible in scheduling an appt for the estimate that worked into my schedule. My house is on the market so it needed to be done ASAP. Although he was booked out very far, he was able to schedule me earlier. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

First rate service from start to finish. Stu gave helpful information advising us clearly what did and didn't need to be done saving us money and time. The day of installation went smooth, punctual arrival, no mess and very effective with readily apparent increase in temperature after the work was completed.

I added a few extra areas of insulation and had him build a storage platform in the attic. The extra charge was minimal. I am a contractor and I recognize a quality worker when I see Stu. I contacted Discount Insulation to help determine why two of our bedrooms were so cold in the winter. Stu was very professional and was able to schedule a complimentary inspection that very afternoon. It turns out the original, 1956 insulation in the attic was mostly deteriorated and actually gone in some places, so we decided to move forward with a full attic, cellulose-blown insulation. In addition to the insulation, Stu also built a raised platform for our storage boxes (insulated underneath), wrapped the chimney to make sure there was no air seepage from below, covered the recessed light casings with fire-retardant covers, and built a removable, draft-proof cover for the house fan. The job took most of the day and was done efficiently, taking care to minimize the dust with plastic sheeting at the attic entrance and floor coverings throughout the house. They conscientiously cleaned up to perfection when the job was finished. My experience was very positive with Discount Insulation. They are courteous, mindful and respectful, as well as honest and trustworthy. I am very happy with my new R40 insulated attic and look forward to warmer bedrooms and lower heating bills in the winter.

The finished job was great. Everything came out to perfection and our house is much warmer and the furnace doesn't go on so often. They even built up platforms so we didn't loose storage space.
