"Power Tree Removal removed my yard tree, which was infringing on 3 of my neighbors yards. It was a mulberry which stood about 2 stories high. They did it safely and efficiently. The crew were well supervised and all extremely diligent. I gave a few instructions to Alex and Sammy, and I didn't need to tell them twice. I even hugged Davey at the end. Power Tree was communicative, timely, respectful and hard working. All the boxes you would want checked when hiring a contractor, they check. One of my best experiences in hiring a contractor. I highly recommend."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Completing tree service in Queens can significantly enhance your home’s value and curb appeal. Removing hazardous or overgrown trees improves safety and first impressions, while professional tree trimming and new plantings offer privacy and shade. Healthy, well-maintained trees are especially valued in mature neighborhoods, making your property more attractive to buyers seeking low-maintenance landscaping and year-round beauty.

Helpful?

In Queens, hidden costs during tree service projects often arise from special equipment needs, such as cranes for large or hard-to-reach trees. You may also encounter extra fees for tree trimming in tight urban spaces, debris removal, or coordinating with utility companies if trees are near power lines. Additionally, permit requirements for certain neighborhoods or historic areas can add time and complexity to your project.

Helpful?

In Queens, immediate tree removal or trimming is necessary if a tree is damaged, leaning, or poses a safety risk—especially after storms or before hurricane season. Watch for signs like dead branches, fungal growth, or interference with power lines. Routine pruning and preventive tree care can be scheduled, but annual inspections by an arborist help identify urgent issues before they escalate.

Helpful?

When planning tree service in Queens, consider the timing—late fall to early spring is ideal, while spring nesting season should be avoided. Local environmental guidelines, proximity to wetlands, and neighborhood standards can affect your project. If you live in a co-op or HOA, approval may be needed. Clear communication with neighbors and your tree care professional helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures smooth project completion.

Helpful?

In Queens, homes with narrow lots, limited side access, or attached buildings often require specialized tree care equipment and extra planning. If your tree is close to foundations, wedged between buildings, or overhangs a roof, removal or pruning can be more complex. Fenced yards, shared driveways, and multi-family properties may also require coordination with neighbors and careful access planning for arborists.
