"I originally needed a simple outlet installed behind my oven, Sean came by on a Thursday evening to give me a quote. I was impressed with his knowledge and passion for his craft and asked for a quote for a ceiling fan install and an overhead light install. He gave me a good price and was able to come on a Saturday to do all the work. He showed up on time and did an amazing job. I would definitely use again and recommend to anyone!!"

Very professional and knowledgeable of their craft! The job took no time and the PRICE AND FLEXIBILITY OF PAYMENT WAS AWESOME!!!!! They were flexible with time to complete the job and they even cleaned everything up! I am completely satisfied with their work and will use them in the future!! I highly recommend them!! "I retained Fielack to install a ceiling fan and relocate two electrical boxes. When they arrived to do the work, they explained that they only had to relocate one electrical box to accomplish what I wanted. Dave and Kory relocated the box and hung our new ceiling fan. They were prompt, courteous, clean and completely professional. I would not hesitate to hire them again."

"We were extremely happy with the work performed by H&M. Moises, Hector and crew were courteous and did whatever needed to please us. They did most of the renovation in our condo......painting, installation of bathroom cabinets, sink, installed tile floor, etc. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen, living and dining rooms. They had a plumber replace our heating baseboard, I would highly recommend H&M if you want excellent work done!!"

"Fast and super helpful. Gave me a proposal right away. Started work same week. If deviations were needed, was specific on what and why. Reasonable and fair pricing, and honest about their capabilities and areas of expertise. Professional team and went out the way to provide additional references for other concerns. I also appreciated the video Fabio took to show me the before and after, especially in areas I was unable to see."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

You can easily clean an electric fan by wiping it with a damp cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or mild detergent. Ensure the fan is not plugged in or turned on while you’re cleaning it. Also, try to keep liquids out of the motor, which can lead to damage.

A whole-house fan will not allow you to control your home's temperature and keep it at a specific temperature like a traditional AC unit would. You rely on the night and morning weather to cool your home down efficiently. Also, whole-house fans can be loud and may allow cold air to enter your home in the winter. They also require penetrations through your exterior walls or roof, which could invite water and pests in if they aren’t installed properly.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

Whole-house fans cost significantly less to run than a window AC unit. You'll pay an average of $0.01 and $0.05 per hour to run a whole-house fan compared to $0.06 to $0.88 per hour for the cost to run a window AC, depending on its size and the size of your home. They also use far less electricity than traditional central AC units.
