"We had our kitchen cabinets painted by Franks painting and we were completely satisfied with the work. The cabinets look fabulous and everyone was very professional, efficient and friendly. Frank responded quickly to our request for a quote and the project was scheduled just as quickly. The painter’s were here everyday and in time. They were friendly and very professional. They cleaned up at the end of the project and there was no mess to contend with. We are very happy with the job that was done and we will be recommending them to anyone who needs painting done."

"Manny and his team did a fantastic job on staining my deck! Got the old paint off with great detail then stained it for a great finish. When I noticed something that was concerning, he redid the section to make sure I was pleased, no questions asked. He was punctual, kind and fast! Highly recommended and will be using him for other projects. Great experience all around!"

"We received proposals from several painters on Long Island, but Purely Paint provided the most thorough proposal, which included room by room details and pricing for the project. Mike advised us about paint choices and colors which were appropriate for our house. His team was neat and professional. The results were amazing! I would not hesitate to recommend Purely Paint if you are looking for excellent service and a professional painter who is engaged in the process from start to finish. D.F. Customers say: Quick response

"I had a bathroom and dining room ceiling painted. Both needed repairs prior to painting. John was really good and I would definitely use JP painting again. Both my bathroom and dining room ceiling looked great. He was neat, cleaned up completely and there were no surprise costs or issues in the end."

"Absolutely amazing!! Have used them several times because there is not much they cannot do. Very responsive and did an unbelievable job, as always. Had them fill in nail holes and cracks in new crown molding, in addition to painting, and it looks flawless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I had my exterior painted by George last spring and we were very satisfied with his results. My wife loved how the exterior came out. Now we needed a room painted and had George do it for us and again he did a fantastic job. He addressed every item we asked about and the result was another fantastic painting job. P.S. also a great price!!! Would hire him again when I need anything else painted."

"Scott and his crew did an amazing job. Our cedar shingle house had not been painted in at least 15 years and needed a lot of attention. They finished on time (2 1/2 days) and on budget. Would definitely recommend!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Choose based on climate, finish preference (glossy, matte), and durability. Tailored coatings also provide longevity.

Shadowbox fence maintenance depends on the material. But for wood shadowbox fences, maintenance typically includes annual cleaning to prevent mold growth, resealing or staining every two to three years, and promptly replacing any damaged or rotted boards. Vinyl fencing, on the other hand, typically only requires annual cleaning with a hose to maintain its appearance.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.

Yes, many fence repair services include finishing treatments like sanding, priming, repainting, coating, and rust treatment. These services help restore the fence's original appearance, protect it from corrosion, and enhance its aesthetic appeal. However, since offerings can vary by provider, it is best to confirm what is included before scheduling the work.

Yes, staining or sealing a cedar deck or fence is highly recommended to extend its lifespan, typically by five to 10 years. While cedar is naturally resistant to mold and mildew, it can still fall victim to moisture, sun exposure, and rot over time. Applying a treatment creates a protective shield that helps prevent splintering, fading, and decay, preserving the wood's strength and appearance. A combination stain and sealer often provides the best protection, as it soaks into the wood grain rather than just sitting on top. This offers superior defense against UV damage and rot and lasts longer than a sealer alone. To maintain the wood's natural look, consider using a near-translucent stain. You should plan to reapply the stain or sealer every two to three years.
