Small jobs welcome

"Keegan is a true artisan. I hired him to build a dry stacked stone retaining wall and he built the most beautiful and carefully crafted wall that far exceeded my expectations. It's now one of my favorite parts of my property. He was quick to respond when I reached out, showed up when he said he would, and he was very easy to communicate with. He charged a fair price, was very kind and friendly, and he left my property spotless when he finished. We absolutely plan to work with him again next time we need a project done."

"Abby and Robbie were fantastic. From design to install and finish. I had a really tricky fireplace mantle and they nailed it. I loved working with them and highly recommend. Punctual, good communication and clear costs."

Customers say: True professional

"Jacob was the first to respond and show up to review and quote the job. His follow up was quick and was responsive to questions asked. The quote was accurate. His workers were very hard working and accomplished much in a short period of time. My project took a day and half to complete. Jacob did a walk around after to go over and things I might have had concerns with. All the clean up was handled well and left our place looking great! Highly recommended!"

Architects questions, answered by experts

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.

Architects often oversee project management to ensure design adherence, coordinate with contractors, and address onsite challenges.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.

A designer is a great choice for remodeling projects that don’t require significant structural work. For remodeling that includes structural work like removing load-bearing walls, altering exterior walls, or adding on a room, an architect can design and execute the renovations while ensuring your home remains structurally sound.
