"I contacted Steve’s appliance repair to troubleshoot a dishwasher in my home. The response time was very rapid and we scheduled a visit for the following day. Steve was very honest, direct and straightforward. His assessment was that it would be unwise to repair the machine based on the cost - versus purchasing a new machine. I’m sure Steve could’ve profited handsomely from the repair but he did the right thing. His fee for the house call was very modest and would have been applied to any repair cost if a repair was appropriate. After he completed the repairs, the ice maker started making ice immediately. However, later that week the ice maker stopped working. We called and emailed the company several times and no one got back to us. Eventually they did pick up the phone and they arranged to have the technician stop by to troubleshoot. The technician did stop by but neither he or anyone else at the company ever told us what the issue was, nor did they arrange to come back to fix the program. We paid them in full for their work and the replacement parts and have now contesting the charges with our credit card company and will be reporting this company to the consumer protection agency."
