"We had our old boiler removed and a new 250,000 BTU Weil-McLain installed. The experience was great. The price was really fair, especially for the quality of work. They showed up right on time, got straight to work, and you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Everything was done in a very organized and professional way, but still felt easy and stress-free on our end. What I appreciated most was how clean and quick they were—no mess left behind, and the job was done faster than expected without rushing anything. Overall, just solid, reliable service. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing boiler work."

"Since I moved into my apartment around 20 years ago, I've had problems with the bathroom exhaust fan. When I turned it on, often the circuit breaker would be thrown. Finally it got to the point where it just wouldn't work at all - if I tried to use it, the fuse was blown. I posted the project here and Leonel of Berardi contacted me shortly afterwards. After looking at it he determined that the fan was the wrong kind and wasn't even installed properly. He explained it to me, ordered the correct fan, and had someone come over to install it. Now the fan works perfectly, no more blown fuse, and it's less noisy, too. They could have played this differently, slapped on a bandaid on it and had me call again and again for the same problem, but Berardi did the right thing. I'd recommend them to anybody who needs electrical work done."

"Alfonso, Dave and Al were outstanding!!! Professional, courteous and simply nice individuals! I meet with Alfonso last Tuesday to discuss my boiler problems and what needed to be done. I can honestly state after talking with him I knew I had chosen the right company even if, it cost more than I had anticipated. I trusted him and did not feel pushed into something. On the day of installation any questions I had were answered, they cleaned up everything and I am 100% satisfied with everything! (The Unit installed, timeliness, workmanship, cleanup and the individuals themselves!) I would highly recommend this company without any reservations, and yes their manager Mr. Gil Karni was a man of his word, from whom he sent to do the job and taking into account my personal needs with the time of day I had available for all."

"Very well. Difficult job. Entire system had shut down. Multiple reasons. David was fabulous in figuring out the various issues, which parts were warenteed, recalled etc. Time consuming, and a few set backs, but David will get the job done!"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

A furnace takes in cool air, heats it through the burner and heat exchanger, and sends the air on its way to warm your home. A boiler is a pressurized vessel that produces hot water or steam to heat the home and provide hot water. A boiler may or may not work together with a furnace.

If you're often struggling with radiator issues like chilly spots, leaks, or annoying noises, those are common indications that your radiator may need to be replaced. Corrosion, uneven heating, and persistent hissing sounds are common issues as well. When repairs become a regular chore and your home’s energy bills start to rise, a new radiator will bring the comfort and savings you need.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

Depending on the size of your home and system, as well as any upgrades or add-ons you choose, it may take between three and five days to completely replace an existing HVAC system from start to finish. Your contractor should be able to give you an estimate before they begin the actual replacement.

Costs depend on unit size, labor, fuel type, and whether additional piping or venting is needed.
