"Window King is one of the top rated window contractors in my area, so I scheduled an appointment with them, as well as with the other two top rated companies. I met with Window King first, and immediately liked their punctuality and professionalism. Nick, the owner, is very personable. Anyone would appreciate his no pressure sales approach. I know I did. Even after being in the business for so many years, he understands that most of us know nothing about windows and so he takes his time discussing our wants and needs, his products, and by the end of the appointment he provides a thoughtful recommendation and quote. Note, all this is done without overwhelming us with too many facts and numbers. Yes, he mentioned the values and stood behind the quality of his products when compared to the BIG NAME BRAND windows, but he preferred we take the fact sheets provided and do our own comparisons (which I was going to do anyway). I'm a skeptic so I was going to do my own comparisons. After meeting with the other top rated contractors, I decided to go with Window King for the following reasons: 1) OKNA 500 series window's ratings are equal to or better than almost any replacement double hung window out there. 2) Window King's quote was cheaper and included more work than his competition, even when comparing the exact window. 3) OKNA manufacturer Lifetime Warranty. 4) Years in business. 5) Work isn't subcontracted. I was not disappointed with the installation. In fact, I was very happy. The crew was punctual, professional, courteous, and they finished in 2 days which was amazing considering the scope of the project. Their attention to detail was second to none. The windows were installed properly, they cleaned up after themselves, and made sure we understood how to operate the windows before leaving. During the install, Nick even stopped in to make sure we were satisfied. I'm planning on installing a bow window in my den by next year, so I'll be using them again without a doubt. I will not hesitate recommending them to friends and family."

When the person came to measure he also didn’t catch that I was having all my windows done except one. The windows look great. The response when I notified the co that one window was missed was very fast but added to my cost."

"I hired Handymack to install brick siding, install windows and to fix a basement leak. I hired them based on all the positive reviews here, ignoring the negative ones (some of which have since been removed). They constantly made promises they did not keep. 2 weeks became 2 months. They would often no call/no show or give unacceptable excuses for not working. $10k agreement became $12k for reasons that should have been obvious ahead of time. The brick and mortar is sloppy in spots giving the brand-new walls a repaired look. Top row of bricks is lopsided. Brick corners not plumb. Window heights not matching. Bricks installed over window sills instead of around. Left trash all over yard, including food. Charged me extra $600 for trash removal and did not remove it all. They constantly promised to fix problems I pointed out along the way, but never would. I originally left a 2 star review, but they asked me to remove it with the agreement they would come back to fix the basement leak or refund the trash removal fee. I chose basement leak. The basement still leaks after their return visit. I am only making this a 3 star review because they are offering to come back again at no charge. At this point, however, I would rather pay someone else who can do it right."
