Payment for work to be performed will be discussed at time of estimate. We offer a 10% discount to seniors on our standard price list. Sign before February 14 and receive a 5% discount on the overall estimate.

Yes, fiber concrete can crack, and contrary to popular belief, it will crack under similar forces to rebar-reinforced concrete. The difference is in how the crack spreads through the slab. When you exert pressure on a slab, the slab flexes downward, putting tensile forces on the bottom of the slab. In rebar concrete, a crack at the bottom will also quickly appear on the top surface. You can drive your concrete once it’s partially cured, usually around seven days after it’s poured. After one week, the concrete is strong enough to hold up to regular-size vehicles.

This is a cost-effective, durable option that creates a smooth-looking surface. If you live in a high-rainfall area, the permeability of concrete millings can prevent water from pooling the way it might with a concrete driveway.

For homeowners, it’s better to dry grind concrete. Dry grinding is the method described above and can be done by experienced DIYers for smaller projects. Wet grinding requires a big volume of water, a way to collect the slurry created by the water and dust, and an environmentally-safe place to dispose of the slurry. In general, only professionals do wet grinding.
