That bundle of metal roofing material sat in the yard for well over a month and was quickly joined by all kinds of construction material that was just sloppily laid whever they felt like dropping it. My beautiful yard quickly became a war zone that got worse and worse each and every day. Mind you the job of installing siding and a metal roof STARTED ON JUNE 27TH OF THIS YEAR. Dell and his crew quickly took over the property, leaving materials everywhere, leaving work undone and incomplete, not showing up for days at a time all the time there was boards, nails, screws and cigarette butts, cigarette packs, soda, gatorade and beer bottles just dropped where they stood, work on the house was not being done on any regular basis. Dell was being paid by my landlord, who live in New Jersey, they are wonderful people, very trusting and honarable. Dell and his people took complete advantage of them. They lied constantly as to what work was being done and when, falling way behind any reasonable schedule all the while creating on huge, unsafe and incredible mess of the lawn on the property. My landlord would call me and tell me a month ago via text message that Dell will be there to finish up and should be done in a day or two, I would tell her the real story and that obviously conflicted with Dell's lies to my landlord. The situation keeps getting worse. The cable which is attached to the house becomes dislodged from it's saftey device (at the hands of Dell's workmanship) and the cable box gets broken, I have no cable tv or internet in the house for 3 days, the cable company comes to find the cable was broken by contractor. Weeks go by and the saftey is not repaired by Dell and the cable goes out again, this time for 2 days and the cable company comes again to make the repairs, now the siding is damaged and pieces have split apart. I spoke to one of the workers who arrive in the morning and explain that I have reported poor workmanship and the unsafe conditions and Dell shows up at my house threatening my with physical harm. I call the Geneva Police but decide to not press charges at my landlords request in an effort to get the house finished. Big mistake. Work finally begins on the roof, more debris, nails and asphalt roofing singles everywhere, more lawn damage . The workers push my brand new riding lawn mower to the end of the driveway and leave it there! I work nights and got home at 11PM to find it there thankfully nobody scooped it up as free. The next day they do the exact same thing! I have yet to get to the incredibly horrible and unprofessional workmanship of this guy. Never before Have I seen such bad work. The fascia of the house is done with pieces, not bent with a aluminum brake, rather nailed in looking like a third grader installed it. The roof was installed with a vapor barrier which is going to lead to huge problems down the road, the lower roof the shingles were never removed, no ridge vent and has some kind of large stain on it, very noticable and doen't look new in any way. Gables are also installed in pieces, are uneven and there are even missing pieces, peaks were not mitred just simply overlapped. The result of this job is criminal, tomorrow I'm told that Dell will be finished (again), not one single window is caulked, the siding on the westside of the house is dirty from the debris coming off the roof, there's a 2x4 on my porch roof and there are screws, nails and tons of small debris all over the lawn. I am renting a magnet to take care of that to prevent from getting a falt on my lawn tractor. I also have a 3 year old grandson who loves to run around outside, I have had to take him to parks and places where it would be safer than my house as I don't want him to step on a nail or screw. Anyone in Seneca or Ontario county who come into contact with this guy I highly recommend you come to my house at 320 E North St in Geneva and take a look at this guys work, there's no way he can justify this abslute abortion. I have pictures I would be happy to post for the asking.
Glenn did an excellent job from the time we spoke to him on the phone to the time he drove out of the driveway. He asked a lot of questions to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. He provided several options with all different price ranges even encouraging us to keep one of the older...

FAQs for asphalt driveway service projects in Geneva, NY
An asphalt driveway should last 25 to 30 years, depending on the type of asphalt used, the climate, how well the foundation was prepared, the type of soil under the foundation, and how well you maintain your driveway. Maintaining asphalt by filling cracks and reapplying sealer every few years can help extend the life of your asphalt driveway.
When hiring an asphalt paving contractor to install your driveway, ask as many questions up front as possible. Here are a few questions to ask a prospective driveway contractor:
How many years of experience do you have?
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Do you have worker’s compensation?
Do you use subcontractors on your projects?
Do you clean up after the job is done?
Who is responsible for any damage to lawn or landscaping?
Do you provide a guarantee or warranty on your work?
Do you give free estimates?
What is the timeline for completion?
How do you handle change orders?
Can you provide at least three references?
Can I see some of the work you’ve done?
An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.
An asphalt driveway costs about $7 to $15 per square foot, including labor and materials. The cost will vary depending on your location, how thick the base material is, what prep is required, the thickness of the asphalt, and the accessibility of the job site. The national average cost to install an asphalt driveway is about $4,740.
