"After having a chimney fire the staff at Four Winds came and cleaned and inspected our fireplace. They are full of knowledge and gave me options as far as what to do. "Tried to engage several other companies to complete my project. Very glad none of the others worked out. Well-seasoned hardwoods like oak, maple, hickory, and ash are the cleanest woods to burn in a fireplace. When properly dried, these woods have low moisture content, allowing them to burn hotter and produce less smoke, which minimizes creosote buildup. Ensure the wood is seasoned for at least six months for optimal burning.
