When Anthony from Four Winds Masonry and Chimney came to meet us, he impressed us by his knowledge and experience of chimneys and his attention to our thoughts and concerns. He proposed a lift rather than scaffolding that could scar our new roof and offered to bring samples of bricks that most closely matched out existing chimney. He also seemed delighted to have an artistic challenge. The work took 4 days, as he said, and we are thrilled with the results which add to the look of the house. Recommended and installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue. Their price was better than previous quotes and even set up a partial payment plan. "It's a pretty decent system, I think. They send you the pieces and you install them yourself, which is pretty easy. The only real problem I have is that one sensor is too far away from the panel...or there's some interference, and they haven't been able to fix that. It's an interior door, so it's not the end of the world, just a little annoying. Their customer service is pretty good though. Nice, smart customer service people on the other end, very polite and helpful."

"This is the third time that we have called Matt for services and we are absolutely thrilled with the results of every job.  The siding on either side of our chimney was ruined by two hard winters of ice.  The shingles and the board underneath were rotted.  Matt came out, and did a thorough inspection of the damage and recommended completely replacing the siding, plywood, insulation, etc, all of the way up to the roof line.  He came back the next day and started work.  He finished the job in two days and completely cleaned up the work area (and this was a seriously messy job!).  The work that he did is impeccable.  I see from some other reviews that some people have had scheduling issues with Matt in the past.  He was very upfront about needing to accommodate his children' schedules and we were happy to work with him.  If you want an honest, skilled and reasonably priced contractor, you should call Onondaga County Construction.  You may need to work around a dedicated father's time table, but it will be well worth it!
