Matt did a good job. The project was drawn out a little longer than I hoped for but that was mainly due to the weather not cooperating. I was one of the first roofs of the season. I appreciated that he fit me in. The roof looks good. One shingle fell off a few months after the fact and I contacted Matt and within a few days he came out and took care of it. I would recommend this company. The price is middle of the line - maybe a little less than even - and the quality and service is good.

"I have no idea who even wrote this review and as it says I didn't do any work for you so just giving me a c rating and not even explaining why is unfair. Really wish you would contact me with any issues."

The package bought included a roof inspection, minor roof repairs, caulking exposed nail heads on flashing, resealing around any unsealed pipe collars, exhaust fans, vents, and chimney flashing up to 4 penetrations, and any other maintenance as well as checking or interior leaks that may not be noticeable from the exterior of the home. Photos of other areas in need of a repair and a summary report on any potential plan of action if needed. The total price was $79 for this package.

Contractor was there for 5 minutes. Only 1 out of 3 sections of the roof was inspected. A video was shown exactly where the leak was around the chimney and the reason for it. No repairs, caulking, resealing, or any other maintenance was done. A video was recorded showing where the known leak was.

He said there was no resealing that could be done and gave me estimates on the repair and for the whole roof. He gave me his business card and said we'll stay in touch but let's get out of the rain. On his business card it states "free estimates."

If I knew it was just going to be a job estimate, I would have never bought this Angie's list deal. The contractor did seem knowledgeable enough, that there is a possibility that I may purchase his "$5,399.00 for a New Roof with 3-D Architectural Shingles" Angie's deal, but only if I get fully refunded for the Maintenance package of $79 as it was a complete waste of my time. To sum it up, I would like a refund for this so called job as it was clearly only a job estimate!

"I'm really upset with this review I drove almost an hour each way just to get to you. I went up on the roof and did the inspection like you stated took video and pics of what was wrong. It is not my fault there was nothing to seal or tar to fulfill the deal you bought I usually deduct what you spent on the deal off of the price to fix the roof. I have no issue with you getting a refund because I do in fact do free inspections I just wish you would have addressed these concerns when I was there and it would have been cleared up there's no wAy I deserve this review. I tried reaching out to you and have not gotten a response. Please call me to address this. Idk what you were expecting for $79 but me tearing your roof off and replacing wood is definitely not gonna happen for that price and that's what needs to happen to fix your leak."

I have used Matt a few times and as always he has done exceptional work. He was carefull not to damage my shingles when removing the snow from my roof. Very easy to work with, great prices and will continue to use him in the future.

Called because the box vents on the above the kitchen sun room (room off kitchen with a vaulted ceiling a separate roof) would leak when strong winds and rain occurred. I called to have them removed since they never served any purpose in venting that roof. They also inspected the rest of the roof and recommended that one vent pipes was in need of repair, and some of the ridge vents were starting to pull up (the nails were rusting). They suggested a better vent system using shingles covering the vent to protect it. Work done quickly and professionally. Shingles matched very well to existing ones.

My dad?s house had storm damage that caused a pretty severe roof leak, and upon inspection the roof was in worse shape than we expected. We had several roofers come out to provide estimates, and they all indicated that a total tear-off and replacement was necessary. As I was managing the repairs from out of town, it was important to find someone who was overly responsive, and would be available to speak with me via phone/text throughout the project.
Matt, the owner, was extremely responsive when we called him for an estimate. In fact, he came over that same day and provided us with his estimate and we discussed possible scheduling. Since it was critical that the roof replacement occur before bad weather (especially any snow), he said he was able to juggle some of his jobs around so that our roof could be done later the next week. This was a huge factor in why we chose him to do the work. His pricing was also very reasonable compared to other estimates we received, although he did warn us that there may be unforeseen costs once they began the work. He indicated it was hard to know what they would find until the old roof was off. As it turned out, his original estimate did not cover everything, and we ended up paying about $800 more for heavily rotted wood and an additional layer of shingles that required extra labor to remove. But we understood the need for these additional costs and did not feel he was taking advantage of us at all.
Matt kept in constant communication with me throughout the 3-4 day project, mostly via text which was very convenient. He took photos of their progress and shared them with me daily. He also made sure to inform us of the additional costs before he moved forward with the work ? so we gave approval for him to proceed knowing what the additional expense was. Even when the work took a day longer than he had anticipated (mostly because of the additional rot and layer of shingles mentioned previously), Matt made sure to communicate with us regularly and keep us informed of the revised schedule.
His team was courteous, professional, and the work they did was top notch. They did their very best to clean up after the project was completed, and they were very flexible throughout when challenges arose with what was a difficult job due to the age of the roof, the lack of space in the driveway for a dumpster and just general non-optimal conditions that were out of our control given where the house is located. They worked 8-10 hours per day, sometimes well past dark to try and stay on schedule, even the day before Thanksgiving. We were so appreciative of this, and Matt was really trying to do everything he could to complete the project on time but it just was more work than anyone anticipated.
The end result is a brand new, beautiful roof that looks fantastic and is of great quality. Matt is a nice, down to earth guy who knows what he is doing and we got the distinct impression that he really wants to provide quality service and work to his customers. And dealing with the owner directly on a large, expensive project like ours was an added bonus that really
made a huge difference. We are very pleased with the work Matt and his crew did, and would have no hesitation recommending them for similar work!

I found this contractor through one of the Angie's List "Big Deals."  Matt responded very quickly to the initial purchase of his deal (roof maintenance and $100.00 credit for repairs), and was out to the job site within a few days.  He sized the work, gave me a verbal description of what additional work needed to be done and an estimate of the cost, and ultimately completed the work within 5 business days.  Note:  all of this was done by phone and text, since the property is seasonal and I do not live in the area.
I cannot comment on the quality because I have not seen the result other than in pictures.  But I trust that the work was done as described, and would use this vendor again.

We tried to get the contractor to do the inspection  We had a great deal of trouble getting them to call us back to schedule the inspection.  When we did talk to them they said that they were very busy responding to the requests.

Review UPDATE: October 2014 - They performed the inspection and were very helpful in discussing the needs of our roof.

In order to show me what was needed, Matt took photos of the roof and bad pipe.  There was no question that the work had to be done, even though the shingled part of the roof was in good shape.  Promptly on the agreed date Matt and his associate arrived and replaced the caps and vents as discussed.  I was very pleased with the work done as well as the attitude of the people doing the work.

Purchased service on 6/2 and was contacted immediately regarding a thank you and to await further communication.  Haven't heard anything yet (almost a month later), but am assuming they're busy.  Will be contacting again in a few days for status update on scheduling service.
