"Representatives from Halter Plumbing responded to my original request for an appointment within 15 minutes and Mr. Halter arrived on time and was prepared to analyze the problem quickly. The replacement part was purchased nearby and replaced quickly and efficiently. As luck would have it, the replacement part was defective and our original problem was not solved. Mr. Halter secured another part and re-installed the new part which solved the problem! Thanks for sticking with this project and giving us such great customer service!"

"Our installer, Dylan, arrived on time and after introducing himself got right to work installing our new walk-in shower. He worked quickly and efficiently making it obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing. A major part of his job including ripping out our old tub/shower unit. Again, he did this quickly and efficiently. He finished the entire job in just short of nine hours which included a very thorough clean up and explanation of the various features, cleaning procedures and warranty information. Should the need ever arise, I will have no problem contacting Bath Fitter and asking for Dylan as our installer."

"Revive Renovators found other things with their house, and they fixed them for us. They went above and beyond. There's nothing bad I can say about this company. They were really super good, and I hate to see them go, and I'm going to miss them. They are very honest and respectful."

"Hibbard Home Improvement did our master bath remodel two years ago. We were very happy with their work & have now hired them for a second bath remodel. The guys show up on time each morning, work efficiently all day & clean up the work space at the end of the work day. Dale has been very fair & direct with pricing and flexible in scheduling his crew, especially when there has been unexpected issues."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

What you include in your bathroom remodel will depend on your budget, personal preferences, and the current condition of your bathroom. Bathroom renovations often involve changing out the shower or tub, faucet, showerhead, tiles, flooring, mirrors, sink, cabinets, and vanities. You may also want to upgrade the wallcovering, adding new wallpaper or paint.

A powder room cannot have a bath. If it had a bath, it would likely be considered a three-quarter bath or full bath, depending on the other features. You might hear the term “powder room” used to describe a bathroom used by guests, but it wouldn’t technically be a powder room. However, powder rooms or half baths are ideal for guests because they can use it without entering the more private areas of the home.

Completing a full standard bathroom remodel offers the best value, with an average return on investment (ROI) of 70%. However, you don't need a full remodel to make an impact. To maximize value, focus on key components like flooring, the tub and shower, vanity, and cabinets. High-value upgrades include installing a walk-in shower, resurfacing a tub, retiling, or expanding the shower. For more budget-friendly options that still increase value, consider repainting with a light, neutral color, or updating the mirror and light fixtures. It's also crucial to address any necessary repairs, such as leaks, mold, or cracked tiles, as buyers will notice these issues. Avoid flashy upgrades like bathtub jets or steam showers, which don't add as much value.

Installing a clawfoot tub with a minimum of 6 inches of clearance from surrounding walls allows ample room for the faucet and pipework, makes cleaning easier, and reduces the chance of moisture being trapped between the tub and the walls. It might need to be closer if the faucet comes directly out of the wall.

Adding a soaking tub can increase your return on investment (ROI) for a bathroom remodel, with many people recouping a 60% ROI when adding a soaking tub. To get the best value from installing a soaking tub, make sure that your floor plan allows the tub to act as a focal point in your bathroom, adding aesthetic value as well as being practical.
