"In 2018 I hired this company to add on a paver patio and walkway to existing cement. What a GREAT job they did! The owner, Jose , is professional, courteous and listened to what I wanted and made some good suggestions. The crew that did the work showed up on time each day, worked hard and were also very nice and friendly. Recently, I needed a drip line repair that was under a corner of the pavers. A really small but important job. At a very busy time of year, Jose had one of his guys out here within 5 days and it was fixed and pavers replaced expertly. Next year I intend to add another small paver patio and will once again call on Affordable Pavers to do the job!"

No, it’s not recommended to attach shutters to brick without drilling. Brick is dense and built to last, so adhesives and shortcut methods don’t usually cut it. Even heavy-duty glue struggles to hold up over time—especially against wind, moisture, and temperature changes. Most no-drill options are made for materials like vinyl or wood, not solid masonry. Skipping the drill might seem easier, but it puts your shutters—and anything below them—at risk. For a secure, lasting install, drilling is the way to go. You should clean your home’s brick once per year. This applies to exterior brick, but also to cleaning brick fireplaces. Create a homemade cleaning solution with equal parts vinegar and water. Use a soft-bristle brush to scrub the solution into the face of your brick and remove dirt, algae, and stains. Cleaning will protect brick from damage and boost your home’s curb appeal.

A well-made brick wall can last up to 100 years if maintained properly, which includes regularly repairing the mortar every 30 to 50 years. If your brick wall is under 30 years old and is already showing signs of repair, it may be due to poor brickwork and installation.
