"Superb Workmanship! I had a retaining wall, and a paver deck done by this company, and both jobs were above my expectations. Very impressive. They were punctual, organized, and the clean up was immaculate. Their quote was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this company ‼️"

"I had a rather small project for a retaining wall, and Perez Landscaping was perfect for the task. Ramiro the owner answered my request on Sunday, came out to scope the project on Monday, and had it done by Wednesday! That’s kind of unheard of these days for landscape projects. Ramiro and his team were so nice, so efficient, and didn’t damage any of my landscaping in the process. Price was very fair and the result was just what I was looking for. Thank you Perez Landscaping, I will definitely call them again if I need a project done (they do fences, too!). And thanks to Anji for their help in finding these guys - gives a level of safety to me knowing they’ve been checked out!"

"I am retired senior and have never had such good work done. They set up the forms in one day. The next day they poured the concrete. The overall experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend HDCP."

"This company fulfilled its responsibility without actually completing the work, demonstrating the character of the business. I had a schedule of tasks to complete, but due to a medical issue, the project had to be cancelled. Tim took charge of my situation by processing my refund and offering a prayer, which helped me during a difficult time. I told Tim, as a Vietnam veteran, that I would welcome him into my foxhole anytime. Tim rose to the occasion, and for that, I want to thank him. Sincerely, John"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

No, you don’t need to soak the brick before cutting it by hand. In fact, cutting a wet brick can make it harder to see your score lines and may cause the chisel to slip. Soaking is sometimes used with power tools to reduce dust, but for hand-cutting, it’s best to work with dry bricks for better control and visibility.

Yes, limewash on brick can accumulate dust over time. Its porous nature can attract dust particles, especially in environments with high levels of dust or dirt. Additionally, if the limewash surface is left unsealed, it may be more prone to collecting dust. Additionally, incorrectly applied limewash will generate dust. Causes include applying it too thickly instead of thin layers and not allowing enough drying time between layers. Regular maintenance, such as gentle cleaning or dusting, can help mitigate dusty issues.

The size of your pizza oven will determine the number of bricks necessary to build it. So the bigger your pizza oven, the more fire bricks you’ll need to purchase. Keep in mind that fire bricks cost about $3 each.

You can turn a red brick white through a process called whitewashing. Whitewash isn’t a stain but rather is made from water and white latex paint. Adding more water to the mix will make the solution look lighter when applied, and adding more paint will make it look more white.

No, using a power sander on brick is not recommended because the force of the sander can destroy brick's fragile outer layer. Even using sandpaper on brick is discouraged because of the damage its abrasiveness can cause.
