"Brothers kept me informed about everything. The guys showed up on time, started work immediately. Both of them were very polite as well as informative. It took about 3 hours. The job was left clean, couldn’t tell they had been there except for the beautiful windows. I will recommend them to my friends. I would also hire them Nv again if I need to."

Emergency services offered

"I had a great experience with Reno Tahoe Window Cleaning. They arrived right on schedule, completed the job efficiently, and the windows were sparkling when they were finished. Isaac was very communicative throughout the process and provided excellent customer service. I asked him to address a few additional items while he was here, and he took care of everything without hesitation or question. I would definitely use Reno Tahoe Window Cleaning again. In my experience, their quality of work and level of customer service are far superior to another local company I have used in the past. Highly recommended!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can create a solution of dish soap and hot water to create a cleaning solution. You’ll want to mix about one to two drops of dish soap for every 8 ounces of hot water. If you use too much soap, it’ll create too many suds and make it harder to effectively wash away.

If the existing frame around the window sash is completely structurally sound, it's possible to save money by swapping out the sash for a new one instead of getting a new window. Keep in mind that it will be necessary to find a new sash that perfectly matches your existing window structure. In general, consulting a window pro to help you find the right match is the best way to ensure you're doing this project correctly.

Yes, bifold windows can open inward or outward. Your window manufacturer will label windows as “in-swing” or “out-swing,” which indicates the direction they open. If your installer is ordering windows for you, make sure they know which direction you want them to open. In-swing bifold windows will preserve as much space in your outdoor area as possible. Out-swing bifold windows are great on the second floor, where obstructions outside aren’t a concern.

Typically, a bay window is, at minimum, 42 inches wide. That said, you can always design a custom bay window that is smaller—box bay windows are usually less than three feet in width and are ideal for smaller spaces.

No, it’s not normal for windows to rattle in the wind. If they do, it may signal that there’s a larger problem at play. Common reasons that windows rattle in the wind are because the glass isn’t secure enough, the frame is loose, or the wood is rotting. In any of these cases, you should identify the problem and take steps to fix it.
