"The owner called me immediately after the ad on Home Advisor went out. He was professional, courteous and kept his word. He is a certified arborist and gave me tips for my other trees. The work was done when he said it would be done and he would not accept payment until the work was complete. I would recommend Wilson Tree Works. Thanks for setting me up to work with them."

Small jobs welcome

"Donald was excellent!!Never expected my ash tree to look so refreshed and healthy after removal of the ivy ( almost from the ground to the top of the tree)Honest, hardworking. He was at least $400 under the next lowest estimate. He was spot on his estimated time frame. . He is now my go to arborist for any of my work related to trees. I would recommend Donald at Arbtrek to anyone who wants excellent work for an honest price!! Just incredible!!"

"Nick and his guys did a very excellent job trimming my very big tree. They got all of the dead branches trimmed. They also did a good job on cleaning up all the branches that they cut off of the tree. Definitely would recommend their services. Also the price they quoted me was a responsible price for the size of tree they trimmed."

"Travis , with Alpenglow Tree Service did a wonderful job! He removed a dead tree, trimmed dead branches off several other trees on our property, cut the wood and stacked it for us. He was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to hiring him again."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In Reno, homeowners are prioritizing fire-resistant landscaping and selecting native, drought-tolerant trees such as Ponderosa Pine and Desert Willow. Strategic tree trimming to create defensible space is increasingly popular, especially in wildfire-prone neighborhoods. Mixed canopy heights and xerophytic landscaping add visual interest while supporting local pollinators like monarch butterflies and native bees, making tree service projects both practical and environmentally friendly.

Helpful?

Combining tree service with other Reno home upgrades is a smart strategy. Coordinate tree planting or trimming with irrigation system updates or hardscaping to maximize water efficiency and design cohesion. Schedule tree work alongside roofing or solar panel installations to avoid conflicts and boost energy savings. Bundling projects in spring or fall can streamline contractor schedules and enhance overall property value.

Helpful?

Your Reno home is an excellent candidate for tree service if you’re near wildfire-prone areas, have mature or overgrown trees, or experience high cooling bills. Properties on slopes or with rocky, alkaline soil benefit from specialized arborist care. If you’re planning new landscaping, need erosion control, or want to attract native wildlife, tree service can help create a safer, more sustainable outdoor space.

Helpful?

Tree service in Reno offers immediate benefits like enhanced wildfire protection, lower summer cooling needs, and improved curb appeal. Over time, well-maintained trees support local wildlife such as quail and hummingbirds, increase property value, and help manage stormwater runoff during sudden rainstorms. Regular arborist care also reduces the risk of emergency removals and helps trees withstand NV’s high winds and temperature swings.

Helpful?

For effective tree care in Reno, keep pruning shears, loppers, and a pole saw for regular tree trimming. Deep-watering hoses and mulch are essential for drought conditions, while tree stakes and guards help protect young trees from strong winds. Safety gear like hard hats and gloves is important, and a soil moisture meter ensures trees receive the right amount of water for NV’s arid climate.
