Working as an Airbnb cleaner requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong sense of hospitality. Unlike standard housekeeping, the role focuses on preparing a space to feel welcoming and “guest-ready,” ensuring each visitor arrives to a spotless and comfortable environment. This includes deep cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, changing linens, restocking essentials, and staging the space so it looks fresh and inviting. Because turnovers often occur within tight time windows, the job demands strong time management and the ability to follow detailed checklists to maintain consistent quality.\n\nBeyond cleaning, the role contributes directly to guest satisfaction and positive reviews. Airbnb cleaners often report maintenance issues, replace supplies, and ensure the property reflects the host’s standards and brand. Reliability and communication are essential, as hosts depend on cleaners to prepare the property on schedule and alert them to any damages!

"On short notice, Mike fit us into his schedule and finished our floors and fireplace face before our company arrives. He was here for every day of the job, talked us through every step, and referred us to great vendors for materials. He and his crew finished ahead of schedule and our floors look fantastic. Thanks Mike, Armand, and crew for doing an amazing job!"

"I purchased a home that was built in 1980.  As a part of updating this home, I wanted to modernize the fireplace, which was very dated looking.   It's very hard to find anyone with expertise in this area, however, upon contacting Jesse Noriega, he advised that he had people who could handle my projects.
The representative that came out was Everardo Leon, who listened to what I wanted done and assured me that they could handle the job.  The first job tackled was the fireplace.  I opted for a stacked stone and they had me go to their supplier and select the type and color of stone that i wanted.  There was a little issue of pieces cracking after the initial installation, however, upon inspection, both Everardo Leon and Jessie Noriega indicated that they would make it right.  They did just that.      The end product was beautiful.
Do's:    Make sure you ask questions as to the pro's/con's of the stone you select.  I didn't ask enough.  I am happy with the result,
however, if I had it to do over again, I'm not sure I would have opted for this stone, as the pieces were difficult to align and fit  together.
Don't:  Don't settle.  You are spending alot of money and you should be satisfied with the end result.

"Chris called about a half-hour before his arrival time after finishing up a morning job. He was a few minutes later than the estimated window, but that wasn't a big thing. However, when he got to the house and I explained what needed to be done, there were some hiccups, which may have been my fault for not communicating clearly enough in my email to his partner Rick. The main project we called R & J for -- installing a shelf above our fireplace -- Chris was hesitant to do because of concerns with the chimney behind the wall and the questionable safety of drilling into it. Fair enough.
Moved on to the next project, which was hanging a few pictures above our stairs. I did tell Rick we'd need a special/long ladder, but again, this was via email and he may not have understood how high up the wall above the stairs we needed to go. Chris didn't have a ladder that could work around the stairs, but we discussed some potential solutions. Either way, that wasn't happening today either. So Chris moved on to install a towel bar in our master bath (success!) and then a toilet paper holder that--wait for it--didn't fully get done either, because a part we had purchased was already broken. Argh! Chris tried to jerry-rig it, but to no avail. We ended up deciding to put the fireplace shelf on a wall in a different room, which Chris did easily and, well, at least that got done!
All that said, Chris was super nice and helpful, even if we couldn't get all the stuff done as planned. Would definitely contact these guys again for future projects.

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

There is no universal remote that will work for all gas fireplaces or electric models. That’s because different remotes are designed to work with specific fireplace wiring, so some remotes may only work for on/off functions, while others work with fireplaces that have extra settings, such as timers or programmable thermostats. If you need a new remote, ensure the replacement is compatible with your specific fireplace model.

If your gas fireplace is vented through a chimney, a chimney cap is highly recommended. While not all gas fireplaces require a traditional chimney, for those that use one, a cap provides several key benefits. It prevents rain, debris, and animals from entering the chimney, which can cause blockages or damage. A cap also helps prevent downdrafts that could push harmful gases like carbon monoxide back into your home. When installing a cap, ensure it is appropriate for a gas fireplace and does not restrict proper ventilation.

In many cases, it is worth repairing an old fireplace. You can repair any portion of the fireplace, and even extensive repairs will usually cost less than a full replacement. Most fireplace repairs cost around $600 and top out around $2,500. Replacing your fireplace will cost around $2,500 and reach as high as $4,000. Not only will fireplace repair save you money in most cases, but the process is also much less invasive and time-consuming, so you’ll only have to set aside one day to be home for the work rather than multiple days.

There are fire codes for a fireplace mantel made of wood or other combustible material. The mantel must be mounted at least six inches away from the fireplace opening on all sides with a non-combustible material—like stone or brick—installed between the mantel and fireplace. Building codes and regulations will vary based on your location, so before beginning the project, research the requirements in your area.

The cost to replace a chimney damper ranges from $160 to $520, depending on the type of damper and the complexity of the installation. If you're looking to repair an existing damper, expect to pay around $100 and $225, depending on the extent of the damage and your location. Hiring a professional ensures proper installation or repair, which can help maintain energy efficiency and prevent drafts, making it a worthwhile investment for long-term savings.
