"Very please with how everything came out, we wanted vinyl flooring in one room and ceramic tile in the other and the job was executed perfectly. Prior to beginning, on the second floor one room was completely unleveled with an huge hump. They addressed the issue, fixed it, and it was all done in a timely manner. Definitely would recommend these guys if you want the job done right!"

"Carlos and his assistant were very professional and did a fantastic job. We just bought this house and The tile and grout were probably never cleaned in 20 years. Carlos and his assistant viewed the areas that needed attention and assured me they would get it clean. They didn’t lie! Can actually walk on the tile with bare feet and not have to wash our feet! I wanted some upstairs tile cleaned that would have cost extra, but Deven said that I should have some other work done prior to his cleaning......offered to do it if I wanted, but suggested I wait even though it cost him the extra dollars. It’s best to install a shower door after the bathroom tile is in place to ensure you have accurate measurements. If you try installing a shower door first, the tile might be too thick to install afterward, or the tile will be too thin and create a gap between the shower doors that allows water to leak. There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

The difference between floor and wall tiles is that floor tiles generally have higher strength and porosity ratings than wall tiles. Wall tiles are typically weaker and more likely to crack or become damaged under sustained pressure like high foot traffic. 

For this reason, avoid using wall tiles on floors and vice versa.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.
