"When you plan out a landscape for your front and back yards, for the most part you're 'dreaming' of all that you want. You make a list of every need, but desires too, right? We want "that" look. And for me, while drawing this all out on paper, I was watching a company across the street work on a neighbors yard, and man oh man, were they amazing. Respectful of property, talented, friendly to those of us coming and going, and every night, cleaning up after themselves, on the sidewalk and in the street. And the end job was Lovely. I saw their company was MAC Landscaping and did a deep dive. Incredible work, excellent reviews. So I made an appt and it was the best thing I could have done for my home investment. The day Jamie and Jose came out to do a walk through of the property they were on time, friendly, and excited to see the yards. They took pics and measurements of the whole property, noting where windows and doors were located. Asking me what my budget was, letting me know their work was amazing but not cheap, and listening to and acknowledging my ideas for each yard, which were dichotomous from one another. The next step was a mock up on both yards and then, a 4 hour collaboration up on a huge screen in their fantastic office. (If Jamie can design a beautiful office, I thought, she knows how to do a beautiful landscape design.) I told them I wanted it all. Not just plants, but I needed a built in dog run to keep my pups from using the entire backyard as a toilet. A wall built to block the view of the pool equipment while sitting at the fire table. That I needed the pool equip kept easily accessible. I wanted artificial turf and rock. An additional paved driveway that could fit 4 cars and not look like a parking lot. And a very special place for my mum's huge cement tortoise. What MAC gave me was even more! OMG. They came up with things I hadn't thought of, like lighting for inside the dog run for the one pup who is partially blind. They designed a play area for my grandson that's multi-purpose for parties as well. They suggested vines and flowers, for color and interest. Who knew? They also recommended espaliering the vines and bougainvillea to have their growth spread. They listened to me wanting different plants in one area, but some mono planting in others. They came back to see the sight line I needed to block certain neighbors views. The fact that they installed an in-ground fertilizing system for the health and maintenance of the plants was brilliant They proffered it all and more. And when it came time to start, continue, and finish my front and backyards, it was a constant and seamless work project, with both front and backyards addressed completely. Jamie, Hilario, Horacio and the entire crew were kind and respectful of the properties, of the dogs, and always on hand to address any questions and hiccups I had. I now have a truly gorgeous front and backyard, thanks to MAC Landscaping. I highly recommend this professional company, Jamie and her entire workforce.
