"Eric and his brother came by our property to give us an estimate on a paver driveway and we told them that we had six other people coming over for estimates and they said that’s great. Just let us know which way you’d like to go and that was it for the time so then we listened to the other estimates that other companies gave us and I called Eric back and told him to come by so we can discuss it further and I let him know that some other places were cheaper and some other places were more expensive but I just felt more comfortable with Eric and his brother and their knowledge of the projects. We set up a time to do the work which at this time I had added two more sections of the property to have work done and they showed up on the day that they said they would and the people that installed the pavers knew what they were doing and worked or tails off and they did a fantastic job and everything was leveled out perfect and the Yard looks great. I would recommend Rock and Block highly."

"The job: Completed replacement of one cinder block wall and rebuild of one-half of a second wall. Good points: (1) The employees who did the work arrived early (around 7:00 a.m.) to begin work each day. (2) The workers were polite, worked consistently, and the work was done well. (3) The cement, sand, and the debris piled in our driveway was hauled away. (4) Blanca, the office contact person, was always polite and pleasant. Mr. Noriega (the owner), came out to visit the worksite. Louis, the salesperson who I contracted with and paid the balance to, was professional, personable, and returned calls promptly. Less-than-good points: (1) Mr. Noriega underestimated the completion of the job by 3 days and requested full payment before the job was complete [reason for the 3.5 stars for customer service]. (2) I had to request that the workers return after the work was completed because they left some portions of the top of the wall unfinished. (3) The clean up of debris was incomplete with things like rebar, string, and other garbage left behind. The stone ground cover we have is now a mixture of the original rock, cement, and pieces of cinder block. (4) The workers stopped working each day at 2:00 p.m. This surprised me given the owner's assurance that the work would be completed in three days (it took six days to complete). Overall, the work was done well. This company was far from the cheapest quote we received but we were willing to pay more to deal with a licensed masonry company. I'd suggest talking with the workers to get a better timeline for completion of the job and making sure to have a full clean up written into the contract."
