"Carey Funk and Sierra Marshall provided a free inspection including ladder access to roof and attic and determined that there did not appear to be any compromise in roofing, flashing or silicone sealant. They advised us to have an HVAC company check into the integrity of the vent pipe itself. We are VERY much impressed by their professionalism and friendliness. Thank you for your time and honesty, ladies!"

"I bought a certificate through Angies List for one room. It took a while for us to make the appointment but once it was set, everything went smoothly. They matched the paint I wanted and offered a discount to paint the bathroom. They were very professional and accommodating and I would use them again.

"imedThe provider was given all of the materials and followed the directions perfectly so that there were no delays.  Job was finished on time.  The provider sander the previously primed area and textured the area after everything had dried.  Finally, the provider, the provider painted the final coat.

"We just had Rudolf, from Silver Desert Handyman, fix/retrofit our dog-run fence.  It was rusted out on the bottom and it had been since we bought our house 4 years ago, but it just got so unstable we finally had to fix it.  We have no idea why it rusted, because we don?t have any water near here???  Anyway, I expect others have similar type fences and expect similar issues, so I?m posting pictures so you?ll know how good a job they did.
You can see up close in the 1st picture that Rudolf fabricated brackets and drilled directly into the concrete. This was the part that was all rusted away.  The 2nd picture shows a similar bracket at the bottom, but the part to note in this picture is the
wall.  The reason ours got so unmanageable is it wasn?t attached to the house at all like it is now on the top in this 2nd picture.  All of these put together make it Very Stable!  He even went ahead and put primer on it for rust protection, nice touch and it was included! The 3rd picture shows the whole dog-run fence? and a little poop, sorry.
Thanks Rudolf and Anton, of Silver Desert Handyman, for doing such a great job.  Only took about 3 hours from start to finish and we are very satisfied? It should last for decades!  You might pay a little bit for this handyman, but you'll get your money's worth.

Stucco questions, answered by experts

All of the components of stucco are non-combustible, so the siding material won’t ignite or spread fire to the interior of your home. However, it also expands and contracts with changes in temperature, so it will crack from long exposure to heat. Eventually, fire will spread through those cracks. Still, stucco is one of the best siding materials for fire protection and can keep you and your family safe for an hour, on average.

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.
