"I tried getting estimate from another company. After playing phone tag with them they finally made an appointment. The day came and they never showed up. I looked up insulation install on Angi and Millers Inc was listed. Put in a request and they showed up on the day they said they would and on time. The price worked for us and the next week the job was done. So very happy the other company never showed up or we never would of had the quality of work. Glenn W. Los Lunas, NM"

"Strongbuilt Plumbing offered the best price. Mitch did a great job. After replacing my leaky exterior hose bib faucet and ball valve to irrigation he also replaced a section of PVC pipe with copper and re-insulated at no additional cost."

"Mr. Exparza came out and gave us a free estimate for parapet repair work
as well as interior drywall repair. We chose to have the parapet work
done by Blusky NM Drywall. Mr. Esparza was fair, super honest and
professional. Love this guy. His team came out and had the repairs done
within  two working days from beginning to end. All repairs were
completed as promised. This team was respectful, polite and courteous.
Also this team did a great job of matching the parapet repair work to
the existing stucco color. Beautiful work. Thanks guys!

"GREAT option for insulation. Very favorable price, esp. for Santa Fe, NM. Needed some extra cleanup work afterwards, but price far offsets any little extra follow up required. (Recommend you have someone onsite to observe the application workmen to make sure they follow all directions and to comply with recommended application methods and conditions per City Inspectors and under Building Codes.) Will hire them again."

The installation looks great and we have not complaints.

The estimate was provided on schedule and was complete so there were no surprise costs later.  The work was scheduled to be done about a month later, and that schedule was met.

Mr. Jensen and his assistant were careful to lay drop clothes to protect the floor from all the debris tracked in and out of the house.  They also cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day so that the house did not feel like a work zone in the evenings.

"MARC JONES CONSTRUCTION TEAM  ARRIVED ON SCHEDULE AND INSTALLED THE SOLAR ARRAY OVER TWO DAYS.  ON MONDAY, WE HAD INSPECTION AND A FEW DAYS LATER THE ATTIC WAS INSULATED WITH FOAM TO REDUCE HEAT LOAD ON AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM.  EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY EXCEPT FOR INADVERTANTLY UNPLUGGING THE SYSTEM CIRCUITBREAKER DURING THE FOAMING OPERATIO.

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. Metal anchors, such as toggle bolts, are more durable and may be reusable if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.

Regular dusting, occasional repainting, and avoiding harsh scrubbing preserve the finish.

Plaster ceilings can sag for several reasons. In some cases, the plaster and other building materials shift and come apart over time, which is why you’ll commonly find drooping plaster ceilings in older homes. Improper installation, foot traffic, and water damage—often from a leaky roof or a broken pipe—can also cause plaster ceilings to sag.

Yes, you can install drywall over plaster, but there are important factors to consider. While it can create a smooth, flat surface, it is often not the best approach. Installing drywall over plaster will increase the wall's thickness, which can cause issues with existing window and door frames that may no longer fit. You might also need to adjust power outlets to keep them accessible. A better, though more expensive, option is to remove the old plaster and lath entirely before installing new drywall. Drywalling directly over plaster seals in the old material, and if any problems arise later, you will need to remove both layers down to the structural beams for repairs. Given the potential complications, this job is best handled by professionals.

Knowing what causes drywall damage can help stop it before it starts. Here are some of the most common causes of drywall damage:

  • Water damage from roof leaks or leaky pipes.

  • Small holes caused by doorknobs, minor accidents, and rodent infestations.

  • Wall dents stemming from moving furniture and minor accidents.

  • Wall cracks that form from a settling foundation or seismic activity.

  • Nail pops from nails and screws in the walls.

  • Large holes that are caused by accidents with heavy objects, children and pets, or sporting equipment.
