"Saul was very courteous and professional. Steve was friendly and explained what he was doing as he was working. Both men answered all my questions. What I can see on the flat part of my roof, they did a great job. On the pitch part of my roof they were to sealed all the penatrations. I cannot get up there to see but I am confident they did what they were hired to do. I will hire them again for other jobs."

Customers say: True professional

"The Zia team is a great one! Martin provided a great detailed estimate and helped us make our insurance claim easier and fully representative of all damages. His work crews were very knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the work. The Zia team delivered on what they detailed out , gave us options, did great work in restoring our walls, ceiling, floors and lighting. It was a pleasure working with them. I would not hesitate to ask them to do more work and strongly recommend them to anyone needing restoration or remodeling work in the Santa Fe area."

"Victor and his very competent and industrious crew at ProBuilders did a first rate job in repairing the defects - from our homes builder - to our concrete driveway and the stucco on the front of our home. The work being done to the driveway and stucco was explained to us in detail and was finished in the time frame Victor laid out for us. The price was reasonable too. We still have major and minor projects that we want done both externally and internally to our home and we will look no further than Victor's ProBuilders to get the job done."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

It is almost always more affordable to buy an existing home than to build a new one. Building a home involves numerous costs, including labor, permits, inspections, utility hookups, and brand-new materials, finishes, and appliances. Additionally, new construction loans can have higher interest rates than traditional mortgages, and property taxes on new homes are often higher, increasing long-term costs. An exception is a DIY house build, which can be cheaper than buying an existing home if you do the labor yourself. While building is generally more expensive, a new custom home offers complete control over the layout and design. Furthermore, new construction is typically worth more than a comparable pre-owned home and may provide a better return on investment if sold quickly.

Whether pole barn posts should be set in concrete depends on the soil surrounding your home. If your soil is compact and digging conditions are agreeable, then setting pole barn posts in concrete is an ideal option.

A 2,000-square-foot modular home costs an average of {AvgCost}, and most homeowners pay between {AvgRangeMinCost} and {AvgRangeMaxCost}, depending on the customization options you choose and the quality of materials. If you choose a more custom design and go all out with upgraded finishes, you could pay as much as $600,000.

Building a tiny house is the least complicated way to build, especially if you’re tackling the project as a DIY. The smaller size means less complex plans, more straightforward utility installation, and fewer ways to make costly errors. Tiny homes still need to conform to building codes and often have other applicable regulations, so be sure to get the proper permits and confirm your build is by the book.

Yes, particularly handy DIYers can build their own storm shelter, especially when using a prefabricated kit and an existing space. However, it is a large project that can take several weeks, requiring significant manual labor and heavy equipment. For these reasons, hiring a professional is often recommended. You should always leave certain jobs to a pro, such as installing an underground shelter, projects requiring site excavation, or any custom-designed structures. These types of builds are complex, labor-intensive, and can cost more in the long run if not executed properly.
