"Ricky and his team has been superb. I was in a need of urgent security system installation and he made it happen by scheduling the installation very next day. He also gave a great offer on number of sensors and motion detectors. I have heard good reviews from his current customers from Fremont Ardenwood area. Special thanks to his company Alarm Protection Group."

"The pro was professional yet friendly. Not only was the kitchen light fixture installed, he had to troubleshoot another light in order for it to work. I will definitely call on AKA Electric for all my electrical needs."

"I always prefer local companies when possible especially when it comes to alarms for my home. Southwest Securityâ s provided exceptional work. They were able to modify and work with my 20 year old hardwired alarm security system and upgrade it to the latest alarm system, technology, allowing remote control of my legacy system via cell phone app with alarm.com. The employees were very knowledgeable of how to move my system to the next level. While the effort took more time than any of us expected, the work was quality and top-notch. I appreciate their ability to work around my schedule at the fire department. They also allowed me to watch how the work was completed and educated me on any questions that I asked. I would absolutely recommend Southwest Securityâ s to any of my friends and family. Thank you Brandon for upgrading my system and protecting me and my wife and Iâ m happy to be a reference for you in the future."

"The installers did a great job removing old system and installing the new system in the garage along with the A/C system on the roof. A very neat job and a great clean-up afterwards. The installers were knowledgeable of the systems and made sure I was pleased with the work! I will continue to use Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating Company my home plus have them do my Daughters house too!! The technicians in this company are also trained to install & repair tankless hot water heaters too!!"

"Brent was attentive to our needs and quickly installed two light fixtures (a halogen-bulb vanity bar and dusk-to-dawn coach light) for us, since we were having trouble fitting them into the old outlet boxes. He also did some troubleshooting on a photocell-operated sconce."

"Bought a thermostat for my swamp cooler. Called around and the other companies I called wanted $100 plus to come give me an estimate. And then charge me on top of that for the work. I Paid less than the quotes and it only took about 3-4 hours from the call to him having it installed and most of that was because he was on another job when I called. Great guy I will 100% be using him for all future projects."

Smoke Detector Installers questions, answered by experts

Depending on who’s doing the estimating, about 22,000 to 25,000 chimney fires happen each year in the United States. Given the fact that millions of Americans have fireplaces (and chimneys), that means chimney fires aren’t exactly common—but they’re not rare, either. Since they’re so dangerous, it’s important to take precautions to prevent them.

DIY is not recommended due to the complexity and potential structural issues. Hire professionals for thorough and safe repairs.

Yes, most homeowners insurance policies cover fire damage and restoration, provided the fire was not set intentionally or caused by negligence. Accidental fires, such as those from electrical issues, cooking, or gas, are typically covered. Your policy will usually cover emergency services like roof tarping, the full cost of remediation and rebuilding, and may also cover alternative housing while your home is being restored. You will be responsible for paying your policy's deductible. It is important to check your policy details to see how coverage is calculated—it may be for the full replacement cost of damaged items or the actual cash value, which accounts for depreciation. To expedite your claim, contact your insurance company immediately and have all necessary documentation ready.

Challenges include ensuring structural safety, completing soot removal, meeting restoration codes, and effectively managing insurance claims.

The most common causes of kitchen fires are leaving cooking food unattended, frying food with excessive amounts of oil, and leaving flammable objects near the stovetop.
