"Ricky and his team has been superb. I was in a need of urgent security system installation and he made it happen by scheduling the installation very next day. He also gave a great offer on number of sensors and motion detectors. I have heard good reviews from his current customers from Fremont Ardenwood area. Special thanks to his company Alarm Protection Group."

"All aspects of the experience were great, from Daniel the consultant who went over our needs to the installation team that did the work. Daniel wasn't pushy in trying to sell us things we didn't need or want. The 2 man installation team very very professional, proficient and friendly. They explained the placement of the sensors to get maximum utility from them. They cleaned up the little dust they made drilling holes for the control panel. They went through the operation of the whole system, making sure that we understood everything. I spoke to Brandon (the owner) after the job was done and he wanted to make sure we we happy with everything, and we were. Over the past 34 years we had alarm systems installed by a national chain in 3 different homes. Seeing the Southwest high ratings on various online sites made us want to try them. We're glad we did."

"The installers did a great job removing old system and installing the new system in the garage along with the A/C system on the roof. A very neat job and a great clean-up afterwards. The installers were knowledgeable of the systems and made sure I was pleased with the work! I will continue to use Albuquerque Plumbing and Heating Company my home plus have them do my Daughters house too!! The technicians in this company are also trained to install & repair tankless hot water heaters too!!"

"Brent was attentive to our needs and quickly installed two light fixtures (a halogen-bulb vanity bar and dusk-to-dawn coach light) for us, since we were having trouble fitting them into the old outlet boxes. He also did some troubleshooting on a photocell-operated sconce."

"Bought a thermostat for my swamp cooler. Called around and the other companies I called wanted $100 plus to come give me an estimate. And then charge me on top of that for the work. I Paid less than the quotes and it only took about 3-4 hours from the call to him having it installed and most of that was because he was on another job when I called. Great guy I will 100% be using him for all future projects."

Smoke Detector Installers questions, answered by experts

Depending on who’s doing the estimating, about 22,000 to 25,000 chimney fires happen each year in the United States. Given the fact that millions of Americans have fireplaces (and chimneys), that means chimney fires aren’t exactly common—but they’re not rare, either. Since they’re so dangerous, it’s important to take precautions to prevent them.

As with any smoking appliance, a smoking oven is a concerning fire risk. It also negatively impacts your indoor air quality, which can put vulnerable people at risk of breathing problems. A dirty oven can catch fire if you don’t stay on top of regular maintenance, so remember to check your oven for signs that it’s time for a cleaning and remove buildup every three months to stay on the safe side.

Yes, a seller is legally required to disclose any known fire damage when selling a house, including damages that were repaired. That includes damages to structural components and all major systems, as well as water damage, chemical damage, and smoke damage related to the fire. Sellers use a property disclosure statement, which is regulated by each state individually, to disclose fire damage.

The first thing you should do when cleaning smoke damage is open all your windows to ventilate the affected area and run an air purifier with a HEPA filter. Cover your furniture and belongings to prevent soot accumulation, and vacuum any soot that’s on the floor and other surfaces. Be sure to wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection when cleaning the affected area.

Burning a single palm tree stump, if you’re careful, is technically doable DIY. However, you should always take precautions to control the fire and do research if you’re burning multiple types of trees.

Some trees, such as ornamental trees, black cherry, and some oak trees, release toxins into the air when burned that can be irritating to your lungs (or even dangerous) to breathe in.
