"I wish I had more projects for him. On time, prepared, easy to negotiate exactly what I needed, work done very well, cleaned up well afterward, courteous and professional throughout. I paid him a little more than he charged, because I was so pleased with the whole experience, and he stayed longer than he thought he might have to in the original estimate."

"Jesse was great! The very best thing is this: He showed me how to do the job, what equipment I needed, and gave me the confidence to do it myself next and save a lot of money. Thank you Jesse. Next time, I will ask for Jesse if it is in his area."

"Hired Marco (Diversified Home Construction) to pull up some rotting floorboards in a upstairs bathroom. He repaired the floorboards, added a new flange to the pipe, added Pergo planks that I purchased to the bathroom floor, and repaired the sheet rock in the garage I pulled to see where the leak was coming from - which was the toilet. He did everything so fast and with quality in Jan 2020, it would have taken me forever. When it comes to framing, that is beyond me. I upgraded the toilet and dropped it on after Marco finished. Marco did an excellent job and a month later, everything looks great and is functioning well."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Over time, your gunite pool shell and concrete decking require pool construction and installation updates due to Albuquerque freeze-thaw cycles and intense UV exposure. Underground plumbing lines shift in expansive NM clay, causing pipe stress. Hard municipal water degrades plaster finishes and waterline tiles through heavy calcium scaling. Additionally, intense monsoon rainfall overwhelms deck drainage, requiring grading corrections to protect your outdoor space.

Helpful?

To build a routine for pool and spa service in Albuquerque, start in spring by inspecting for freeze damage and re-balancing your alkaline water. During summer, test your chlorine two to three times a week to combat intense UV burn-off. Clean your filters frequently during monsoon season. Plan your fall winterization by mid-October to prevent pipe damage, and check your covers for wind wear throughout the winter.

Helpful?

Make pool and spa service safer by installing a 48-inch fence with a self-closing gate to meet NM safety requirements. Add a pool alarm since many single-story homes limit backyard visibility. Anchor your covers and furniture to prevent high winds from blowing them into the water. Protect pet paws from concrete decking that reaches extreme temperatures in the intense sun, and test your water frequently to maintain safe chlorine levels.

Helpful?

Start your pool construction and installation by obtaining a building permit and confirming local setback requirements. Commission a soils report to assess the expansive clay and caliche layers on your NM property. Plan for evaporation mitigation by including an auto-fill system and pool cover. Schedule your excavation for fall or early winter to avoid flash flood risks during the intense Albuquerque monsoon season.

Helpful?

Before starting major pool and spa service in NM, secure all required permits early in the spring to avoid peak-season delays. Contact local utility locators to mark underground lines before any digging begins. Request a soil assessment to identify expansive clay or caliche that causes structural issues. Check current municipal water restrictions before planning a large fill, and schedule your excavation work outside of the heavy summer monsoon season to prevent weather interruptions.
