"AMS is our HERO. The city sewer backed up and filled one third of our basement just before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday. By halftime George had arrived. He calmly assessed the situation, and set up a time to return the following morning. His workers were polite, professional, and meticulous, and did an unbelievable job of cleaning up a horrible mess. By the end of the day the damaged items, sewage , and much of the smell was gone. Huge fans and a germ-killing ionizer ran for three days. When they were finished the floor was bone dry and absolutely clean. It occurred to us that the floor could not have been better cleaned if it were being prepped for painting. So we will be doing so. AMS has innate integrity and a wealth of knowledge across a wide spectrum. Any project can be entrusted to their competent hands. Chester and Jean Lehmann"

"For anybody who reads the one negative review here I'd encourage you to take a look at the more accurate google reviews, which are overwhelmingly positive. I cannot recommend Shane highly enough. If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would. He spends hours at the property and looks in every nook and cranny. He used to be a contractor, so he's extremely knowledgable about houses. He can talk you through which issues are major and which are minor and how to address them. His report is like a manual for your house. When I sent the report to fellow home owners, they all said "I wish I had him when I was buying my home." Shane is THE GUY."

No matter the result, you should supplement DIY testing with professional radon detection and analysis. DIYers only have access to passive radon tests, which aren’t as reliable as active tests that professionals use. Plus, it’s very easy for DIYers to make mistakes during testing, leading to inaccurate results. If you’re moving into a new home, have concerns about radon, or are due for an updated test, hire a professional. 

Long-term exposure increases lung cancer risks. Prolonged homestay individuals and smokers encounter heightened vulnerability and exposure concerns.

You should have a professional test for radon every two to five years. A good rule of thumb is to get testing done every five years if you’ve never had an issue before and every two years if you have.
