My job went Great. Joe was the sales manager; he was polite, professional and ethical. We thought that we needed to do a complete removal of our roof to the roof deck but, after Joe scaled up the roof like Spider-Man 🙂 and assessed the roof; he said “that wasn’t necessary-roof felt stable.” We appreciated his honesty because it saved us from spending thousands of dollars unnecessarily so we are able to allocate those funds to another project. Thanks Joe😊 Now; about the crew of installers big Anthony, Anthony Jr. and John they were great! Polite, respectful, professional. My roof looks awesome. They did a beautiful job installing our skylights and vents. If they saw something needed to be done they took care of it even if it wasn’t in the job description; just great work ethic. My house was completely cleaned; all trash and debris was removed . Guys thank you for the 0 percent anxiety during this project. See you in 3 years for the silver coating. Universal Roofing is hands down the best roofing company I have ever hired. My roof was extremely difficult because of the pitch and various terrain changes. Conditions became extremely difficult and they tackled that project as complete professionals. I’m extremely happy with my results. The time, effort and professional support was amazing. Will hire them again in the future.

I called Universal and Joe Taylor came out quickly. He took a look at an issue I had and performed an overall inspection. He looked the job over, explained everything to me, and gave me a fair price. I called and scheduled the job. Jose, Evan and John came out and did a good job. They were thorough and polite. I highly recommend Universal Roofing!

After 20+ years one of my skylights begun to leak. I had several companies come out for an estimate but Universal Roofing was the best. Joe explained things clearly and even came out a second time when there were a few follow-up questions. The roofers that did the install were courteous and professional. I had both my skylights replaced and when they were done they touched up the sides of the roof and added a fresh silver-coat.

I had a 20+ year old skylight that was leaking. Joe came out to the property twice when I had a followup question so that he could provide me with an accurate response. The roofers that came to install the skylight were courteous and professional. After the installation was complete the edges of the roof were re-sealed and silver-coated.

Great! Work was completed and no more leaking roof!

Job was quoted fairly and completed to my satisfaction. Crew arrived on time and completed the work on time. House and surroundings were left in pristine shape.

Universal Roofing is my go-to company. Scheduling with them is simple. They show up on time and are professional and polite. I have used them several times and never had any issues or concerns with their work. I recommend them highly.

Universal (and Jason, owner) were great to work with, no detail was too small to discuss. The crew worked extremely hard in hot weather. The final product looks great and we anticipate not having problems for years to come.

I'm sorry to have to write this review, but this company did not complete the work, and has been unresponsive for almost a year of me having notified them of a few issues. I hope that this review will initiate a response. I had work completed to install a new roof almost a year ago. When they left the job, they did not connect the new downspout to the drain in the ground because the drain was not properly draining. They said that I should get it fixed, that is not in their scope, and when I do, call them and they will complete the work (to connect the downspout to the drain) which I already paid for. Additionally, when they left the job, they said that they would send me pictures of the work, since I was not able to get up on the roof to inspect it upon their completion. Days later I got no pictures, I texted the lead roofer and I finally got pictures by text message, but the picutres were of a roof that was not on my house! I let them know that these pictures are not of my house and I want the pictures taken so that I can see the completed work product. I never got a response. When I got the drain cleared, I called their office to let them know that they need to come back and finish their work, and that I also want pictures taken of the work, since I never got pictures of the work on MY roof before. They said that they would put in on their list and that the crew would call when they were coming, but they are very busy and it will be a few weeks. I received no calls after waiting many weeks. I called the office multiple times since then with the same request, and I get the same response. I'm still waiting on a call back to have the work done that I have paid for, and to see pictures of the work on my roof. To make matters worse, in less than a year since the roof was completed, I have an apparent moisture problem in the house and am not sure if it's a roof leak issue. I notified the office of this issue, so they could look at it when they come to take the pictures and connect the downspout. Sadly, no response. I'm sorry that I am now writing a review to initiate a resolution, and feel that I'm out of options to simply make a call and have the issues resolved. I hope that others are not having the same issues as me.

Universal is great. So far Joe is 3 for 3 when it comes to spotting the leak issue and fixing it. I have had other roofers come out and miss the issues he has found and each time the issue found was our problem. This time we had an issue under our wooden second floor deck which rested on a roof-deck. We had the deck removed and then Unviseral came out, replaced the two feet at the end of the deck and put new roofing material on the deck. They also got fixed an issue we have tried to hire others to fix in pooling we had on our deck. The skylights they installed look great. Joe is very communicative with issues he finds and keeps me up to date with the work. They have become my main roofing company to go to when i need anything for our roof.

Terrific, the roofers were so nice and explained everything thoroughly the work is very neat and clean I feel very confident that I hired the right company for the job!

The crew arrived early and were professional and courteous. Joe the inspector was on hand and worked with the crew. When the job was completed he sent pictures to us and they cleaned up all the debris that was there. They were the only roofing company who responded promptly and followed through. I contacted 6 companies and none of the others even came out to my home to meet with my husband and I and take a look and our problem.

I'm amending a previous review I had of this company. I wasn't happy with their responsiveness after I called needing someone to come back out and take a look at some problems I was having with my new roof. They have since come back out and taken care of the issue and I'm now very happy. Frank came out and was very nice and professional. I wanted to do this additional review, because I believe it takes a couple of days to have a review removed from a company's profile once you request Angie's List to remove it. Thanks Universal for making this right. Very much appreciated!

Following a frustrating beginning with poor initial communication(see previous review), the folks at Universal more than made up for the rough start and completed excellent work in a timely manner. They replaced a flat roof that was leaking and in dire need of repair within 10 days after receipt of the deposit. The work was completed within a day and looks fantastic.

Universal Roofing and Contracting was amazing. Super quick and reliable. Jason and his crew are total professionals. I had to get a new roof done and I was getting shut down by numerous companies because of the difficulties of the roof conditions . Not Universal Roofing, they came to my property on time , ready to go and did a fantastic job. A++. highly recommended.

I have called multiple times. Each time Joe was extremely polite and said he would get back to me with the information I needed. I had to chase him down 3 or 4 times. Work never even got started because I could never stay in contact with him. They seem like nice people, but it doesn't really matter if I can't actually get the work done. Since it's been about a month since I first tried contacting I am now looking for someone else.

I had three new roofs replaced by them in 2017. Two of them leaked in 2018. They came out fixed one and couldn't find the cause for the other one and said the water probably from my neighbor's roof, but my neighbor does not have any leaks. The one fixed leaks again two years later. I called two weeks ago and was told someone would call me to schedule a time. After 5 more calls I haven't received a call from them. The company called me on 11/16/2020 to schedule a service on 11/21. They also mentioned that they were behind schedule due to bad weather and pandemic lacking of materials etc, which are reasonable excuses. However, I still wish they could have called me earlier to let me know what to expect.

Excellent response time from front office. I was kept in the loop on timing for this project. The estimator was thorough and there were no surprise add-ons. The installers did a great job protecting my property and did a magnetic sweep to make there were no stray nails or other debris left behind.

They stayed until the job was done, made sure nothing was missed, and continuously cleaned the property as they went along. My yard was just as clean as when they arrived.

The work was done in one day and I’m very happy with the results. I’m confident my leaking roof is now repaired the right way. Only thing that I would suggest to improve is to offer payment by credit card.
