United Home Renovations LLC. is an EPA certified and FULLY INSURED company. We offer Quality full renovation and remodeling services in the Tri State.

"Poorly. Delays, poor quality work crews, generally shoddy work. AArron is a salesman and talks a lot but doesn't listen or stand behind his crews work. My tile grout is cracked in both bathrooms around the ceiling and corners, uneven floor tile is a trip hazard. Crooked walls that have tape coming undone. I have had my living room ceiling re painted 3 times. It is still not right..Nails were not covered, no fault around doors and a window that was replaced.on and on the problems go. I hired this company because of a good review from Angies list. I am grossly disappointed and poorer because I don't have the money to refit everything. The plumber hooked up the hot and cold water wrong to the shower. When they came back to fix it they removed my vanity and put it back so the drawers don't open properly."

"Have used many contractors over the years. NEVER have I had a contractor as wonderful as Married 2 Electric! They went above and beyond and will use them for all of my electrical needs from now on. From Scott-appraiser, to Tammy in the office, to Steve and Brandon for the install of our whole house generator. They all were wonderful, helpful (with everything from permits to the concrete pad) amazing customer service and such a pleasure to speak with on the phone and in person. Excellent company to do business with. Got 2 bids, Married 2 Electric was just under $5000, the other company quoted me $17,000!! for the same work!"

RMB Construction is a locally owned business, operated by a sole proprietor. We have 20 years of building construction experience. Our customers satisfaction is always guaranteed. We also do sub-contract work for commercial and residential properties including electrical contracts.

"Rudolph and his team were absolutely fantastic. We had a 1950s basement that needed a full gut job and requested pretty basic finishes (drywall, electrical, vinyl flooring, carpet, paint, woodwork, etc.). They provided a reasonable estimate and stuck to it. Rudolph was very transparent with me through the whole process. Our old basement had some framing that was not up to code so we had to make a few adjustments to our workplan and he always thought about the most aesthetically pleasing options. They were respectful, neat, and we are super happy with the finished results. I will absolutely reach out to them for our next remodeling project. Thanks to the entire RMB team, especially Rudolph, Melissa, and Eddie!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. In some cases, a certified electrician will send an apprentice or journeyman that works underneath them, but the primary electrician still needs to hold the proper license. Without an electrical contracting license, your professional won’t be able to pull the proper permits for your project. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm that an electrician you’re considering hiring is fully licensed. Don’t forget to verify the electrician’s insurance coverage and any third-party certifications before hiring.

Smoke detectors come in two different options: hardwired or battery-operated. While hardwired units are attached directly to the home’s electrical system, a battery-operated smoke detector only needs a simple battery for operation and can be placed virtually anywhere in your home. Some homeowners may mistakenly think their battery-operated units are hardwired in because all their units are interconnected, but many battery-operated units can operate within a smoke alarm network in your home.

If there’s already a suitable outlet near the range, you likely won’t need an electrician to install an over-the-range microwave. However, if there isn’t an existing outlet or the current one doesn’t meet the microwave’s power needs, you’ll probably need an electrician to install a new outlet.

Yes, the majority of appliances that run at 240v will work with a 220v outlet, but will often run slower and may have a slight delay in turning on. This could also cause long term damage to the appliance being used, so it’s recommended to always use the correct voltage for your appliance and upgrade to a 240v outlet if needed.

The dials on an electrical meter simply represent the number of kWh you have used since it was installed. In a five-dial setup, the left-most dial represents tens of thousands of kWh, while the next dial to the right represents thousands of kWh. The following dials going to the right represent hundreds, tens, and ones.
