After being a little slow to get back to me because of extreme busyness, Joe McCabe and his assistant came out on time and tracked down a loose connection that had prevented a new range hood from working. This wiring issue had been causing intermittent electrical issues with our stove for years. The problem was solved and he made sure everything was working before he left. He even gave me a nice discount to apologize for his slow initial response.
This is the second or third time I've used McCabe Electric and I have found them to be very helpful in answering my questions and doing an excellent job at a good price. I will recommend them and use them again if I ever another electrical problem or install need.

His crew indicated two possible causes for the problem and attempted the cheaper solution first. That did not work. Owner personally showed up soon after my call and put in new gfci box and new circuit breaker, did not charge for a new trip and, overall, did the work at a fair price. Joe patiently explained that he was replacing standard box outside with gfci box and replacing gfci breaker service in the house with standard breaker. He indicated this solution would be up to code, still provide the necessary protection against damage etc,,yet not be subject to the same moisture sensitivity problems as existing configuration.
Have not had a problem since despite some heavy rains which used to cause the circuit to trip constantly.

Aside from not returning my original call for several days, which he apologized for, Joe and his crew were professional, friendly, punctual and best of all, very reasonably priced. He made a suggestion about some prep work I could do myself which saved us over a $1000. Not only was all the work done in a few hours, the crew clearly labeled the new junction boxes with a label maker naming the fixture or outlet that each feeds.
McCabe Electric will be my first call for electrical issues from now on.
