"So happy with my experience with DK Electrical. Contacted me quickly to arrange for an estimate and work was scheduled before they left my home after I accepted the price quote. Arrived for the job at the time they stated. They were professional and let me know status as they were completing the work. Coordinated the township inspection. I will definitely contact them again for electrical work."

Customers say: Quick response

"This was my first Tesla (Model Y) and needed to install the wall connector in my garage. That required running wires from my electric panel in the basement to my garage. In addition I wanted to future-proof to accommodate a second electric car (in future). Ryan was absolutely fantastic from very start to finish. He clearly understood my needs, suggested most appropriate solution/plan and executed the plan to perfection in a timely manner. Quality work at reasonable price. Ryan is a true professional who is quick to respond and a good person that you can trust. I highly recommend Ryan and can vouch for his work."

"I’ve used ILL Electrical to replace my lights in my home to recessed lighting and upgrade my electrical box’s voltage. The price was great and the workmen’s professionally done. As a new and first time home owner who knows little to nothing, it was quite informative and easy to work with this young man. I dreaded this experience but he helped make it positives Thank you!"

"Scott from Integrated Electrical Solutions was timely, polite, communicative; he resolved the electrical problem within my budget. He diagnosed an electrical short circuit affecting 3 upstairs rooms. Faulty wiring caused by damaged contact of a wire was determined. Thank you Scott."

"I couldn't be more satisfied with my go-to electrician. They optimized the experience for me, fitting my budget and allowing me to get an ev "electric vehicle" charger hook up in my garage without having to pay to the full cost of set up. I am so happy with my charging system. They are on point with diagnostics, accommodating to my schedule and pricing needs, and most important intelligent enough to provide options suitable to fit my pockets. I've priced out a few electricians and by far, my best decision. Also, I had a problem many months later with a different system (solar system electrical box) and they came right out and diagnosed the issue, with no problem."

"Bought a house last year that was built in the 40s. Though the service panel had been updated most of the outlets and wiring had not. Called Raynor and they were very courteous and prompt. They kept us informed as to when the technician would arrive. The technician was very courteous and professional as I explained all the work I wanted done; 5 outlets with its own breaker in the room that was to become our office. 1 GFI in the upstairs bathroom to satisfy the CO inspector. 1 outlet in the living room for the TV. 1 outlet in the master bedroom for the AC. 2 exterior outlets for the front and side of the house. It took 2 days to get it all done but it was well worth it. The technicians were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Would most definitely recommend their services."

Replacing an outdoor air conditioner with a high efficiency, consumer reported top rated American Standard unit. Level, wired properly, and completed beyond code and required standards. Thank goodness for a team that cares and loves what they do AND our customers.
Great technicians who have amazing skill and are just good humans too.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

To install an outlet from existing wiring, you’ll need to choose a location where you can already access existing wiring. The easiest way to do this is to install an outlet on the other side of the wall of an existing outlet.

Since the wiring is already in place, all you have to do is connect a new cable to the existing wiring and then connect the correct wires through the wall—to the new electrical outlet. Place your new outlet into the opening in the wall and then connect the correct wires to the appropriate terminal screws.

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.

Timers work by using an internal switch to turn power on or off to the cord plugged into it. Just the same way that a light switch turns lights on and off, the timer throws the switch at the programmed times.

GFCI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, a standard safety addition to home power outlets. In rooms where moisture is more likely, like the bathroom and kitchen, GFCI outlets stop the current when certain kinds of shorts are detected, preventing shocks. Both GFCI and the similar AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets are polarized and have clear indicators on the receptacle where hot wiring should go.

With AC wiring, which is the kind most likely you’ll find at home, the black wire is “hot,” and the white is “neutral.” The bare or green wire is considered the safety ground wire. If you encounter DC wiring, it’s relatively easy to tell positive or negative wires apart. red wires are used to indicate positive voltage and black wires indicate negative voltage.
