I had a gas leak last week in the heart of the coldest weather in ten years: PSE&G just shut off the gas and left; and Alex was the only plumber who responded, to my urgent calls for help as the house cooled down. He was reassuring, came that day to take a look, arrived punctually with a helper the next day, and did a 3-hour repair (it involved work outside and in a crawl space) quickly, efficiently, and professionally. He cleaned up thoroughly, and left me with heat back on and hot water restored. PSE&G came the next day to remove the red tag and approve his work. All this for a third of the price the big companies wanted to charge me! Could not flush clog from inside, so came next day and dug 7' hole in front garden to remove the clog. Also installed vertical pipe to access any future sewer problems. Work crew had to dig out two big bushes to access the old sewer pipe at my home's foundation but replanted them along with any tulip bulbs they displaced. Truely considerate of my early spring garden! Courteous, mindful of property, work done in a timely fashion at a fair price. Explained each step in the process and why it was needful.
