"Last year I moved into a new house with a pool that was neglected by the previous homeowner and it needed a major facelift. As a first time pool owner and knowing nothing about pools, the task seemed overwhelming. So I started calling various pool companies - about 15 in total - to get an opinion and an estimate. About half the companies would either not show up or come by look at the pool and then never get back to me with pricing. The others were either outrageously overpriced or there was something I didn’t like about the company for one reason or another. Then I was referred to Pugliese pool services by the company that did our pool inspection. I called Pugliese and spoke to Alex on a Friday afternoon and he stopped by the next morning. I explained that I basically knew nothing about pools so he sat with me for about 2 hours discussing the pool, the pool equipment and showed me how everything works. He then started to give my options on how to proceed with its renovation, something that none of the other pool companies did. Alex then came back a week later to meet with me and my wife, bringing samples of coping stones, tiles and color chips for the new plaster surface. Once aging he was with us for about two hours going over everything to the finest detail. After Alex left that day I remember turning to my wife and saying I hope his price would be reasonable because I really liked him – he seemed like a straight shooter, he seemed honest, fair and very knowledgeable and passionate about pools. My wife said she had the exact same feeling. There was something about him that really clicked with us. Anyway we received Alex’s proposal about a week later and it was quite fair and reasonable. So I checked his references and did my due diligence on him and his company and I felt really good about hiring him. And I am so happy we did. Alex and his guys were amazing; they were neat, respectful, and true craftsman. They went above and beyond the original scope of work and my pool looks amazing. Alex was there with us every step of the way – even consulting on the landscaping. The pool is up and running now and I know if I ever have any questions or concerns Alex is always a text message or phone call away. Alex is now not only “my pool guy” but he is a good friend."

"This fall when I went to start my furnace it wouldn't start. I called Lou Fasano on Sept. 29, who sent out a repair person right away. The furnace was old and needed replacing anyway due to rust damage which had been noticed 2 years earlier. John diagnosed a bad circuit board and suggested not putting more money in the old furnace but getting a replacement. On Sept. 30 I asked Lou for an estimate for a new replacement furnace. Lou got back to me on phone that evening with estimates for a Trane and Run True (Rheem sub brand). He said he would email the estimates. Unfortunately he had an old email address for me and I did not get the estimates. Also, due to hurricane IDA which had ruined a lot of furnaces around Manville, he said it was hard to get some repair parts and new furnaces. On Monday Oct 4, he said he could install the new furnace on the 7th. Angelo and Tony arrived at 10:00 on the 7th and installed a Trane furnace, 95% efficient , 100.000 BTU unit the same as the old furnace. It was slightly smaller than the old furnace so they had to do some sheet metal work. They finished at 3:00 leaving the basement clean. They did a neat job and did not play disturbing music as some other installers have. They installed a new feature where the furnace would turn off if the condensation pump would overflow, as a safety feature. The next day I noticed that sometimes the furnace was on and the thermostat worked and then it would go off and the thermostat would not work. Then a short time later it would come on again. Also the condensation pump seemed to be on all the time. I called Lou at 8am the next morning and he sent Angelo out immediately to identify the problem. Turns out there was a crimp in the plastic section of the condensation pump output line causing the flow to be very slow. Thus the pump would start to overflow and the new feature turned off the furnace until the pump lowered the water. Angelo replaced the crimped line at no cost and the furnace has worked perfectly ever since."
