Ocean State Air Solutions did a great job with our new Central Air Conditioning Unit installation. They came out in the spring to give us several different quotes for different types of air conditioning options, from wall units to central air with ventilation. They talked us through the pros and cons of the different systems and units. We decided to go with the Mitsubishi Electric unit with central air installation. The installation happened a few weeks later. The installation took 5 business days, and involved the installation of new ventilation in the attic with ducts in the ceiling. At the completion of the installation, Ocean State Air Solutions turned on the system and walked me through the operation of the system to ensure I understood how to operate. I recommend their services and would use again.

We have had problems with our high velocity system since we purchased our Victorian, nine years ago. We have had nearly every RI heating and air company in our house over that time, since the high velocity SpacePak systems, for the second and third floors, were loud, with gushing wind noise all year long, as they ran constantly, and the need for constant repairs during the summer AC season was really quite beyond reason. One company actually told us that the spacepak air handlers should be completely removed and reinstalled! So, we believed him, and, at great expense, had everything for the top two floors, reinstalled, with the exact same results as before! Finally, in August, the master bedroom, third floor air handler died in 90 degree weather. I had had enough and went onto Angie’s list. I decided on Ocean State Air Solutions, in Portsmouth, RI, which had the highest rating, and decided to hold my breath, and give them a chance. Craig, the owner came by, and proceeded to do a thoughtful, professional inspection; decided on installing a Unico, variable speed air handler for just the third floor, to see how we liked it. Craig also added a large supply vent in the rear of the third floor, where it tended to be too cold in the winter, and the opposite in the summer. It took them four days to install, and the work was on time, professional and spotlessly carried out! We were told what was to be done to the smallest detail. Well, we have never had such comfortable heat in the master bedroom without the “cold spots”, which existed with the previous system. And the noise was reduced by a third, which was an added bonus since the variable air handler does not keep running endlessly, as the previous system did, so the noise is even less, as a result! We are planning on having the second floor spacepak replaced with the Unico, as well! We cannot wait to see how the AC works in the summer! I cannot recommend Ocean State Air Solutions highly enough! The entire staff is professional, conscientious and they know their business.

I had electric heat and wanted to change to a heat pump. Joe, Ocean State Air's sales rep gave me a very quick proposal and hooked me up with Rise Engineering to get a $3000- rebate from National Grid and have an energy audit done. National Grid paid 90% of any insulation upgrades needed. They had a six week backlog and set a date for the installation 1 1/2 weeks before the work was started. They arrived on time with a sizable crew. They originally said that the installation is usually finished in 3 days. It took 3 days plus 1 hour on the forth day. They mad an effort to keep the house as clean as possible. All work was carefully done so that the work looks neat and no damage was done to the home. Communication was good. They didn't have an in-house electrician and gave the option to hire my own or to use someone that they worked with. The electricians they hired were personable and did a very good job. The heat pump operated without a hitch. 2 years service was included with the job and Mitsubishi, the manufacturer, offers a 12 year warranty.

The two guys who did the work on our house were wonderful. Very courteous, professional, timely, and clean! I know it made a big mess with plaster and dust from the attic when they had to cut the holes for the ceiling vents, but they cleaned everything up.

This company installed my complete HVAC system in a new home in 2016. Any time I have had questions or issues they are right there with answers or service. Every technician that has come to my home is friendly and knowledgeable. Craig Clark responds via email within a day or less. Top quality work with terrific follow up. They are coming back for my annual stem check in June.

Ocean State Air did a fabulous job for us. At the end of last summer our 25 year old AC system died. Over the course of the fall we met with several companies and received several estimates for replacing it. We chose Ocean State Air because of their competitive price, their thoroughness in explaining what needed to be done and their positive reviews on Angie's List. They did the work over the course of three days last week. They were EXTREMELY clean, professional and knowledgeable. Each day they laid out floor coverings, covered our runner and picked everything up after they left. They also at the beginning of the day told us what would be done that day and at the end of the day laid out tomorrow's plan. I have an infant and toddler who were home during the work and they were still able to nap as usual - they kept noise to a minimum! We were able to go about our days as usual. I would absolutely use Ocean State again for any type of work we needed done that they do. They were superb - we've had a lot of work done on our old house over the years and they are the top of the list! Highly recommended.

I had a previous company come out who then, for various reasons, turned out not to be helpful. I engaged Ocean State Air Solutions, and Bridget at the front desk was immediately helpful. They sent out a technician on short notice, who squeezed me in at the end of the day. He worked with me to leave me with some heat, as he had to remove the blower motor eventually - he came the next morning (right when he said he would), took the entire assembly, and went to a local supply shop and was able to essentially build a new blower motor assembly for my furnace, which was a real trick since they don't make parts for it anymore. They also cleaned up the old and unsafe wiring from the previous owner.

My experience with this company was great from start to completion. The salesman, Joe Desilva handled everything. He explained the units, gave me an estimate and set up the install. Also met the owner Craig Clark who stopped by during the installations. Matt and his crew took care of the install in a very professional manner. Efficient and great workmanship. Install took two days and cleanup each day was great! Nice to see a company follow through with their part of a job in such a professional manner. I would and will be recommending to my friends.

Ocean State was amazingly thorough. Craig and Joe went through the house twice before work began, and again once it started to ensure the system would be optimized for our historic home. We had 3 firms come through, and Ocean State was, by far, the most thorough - and price competitive.
