Breaker trips when client uses the microwave and another appliance at the same time. Explained to client the only way to stop the breaker from being overloaded is to run an additional circuit to the kitchen and install anew outlet to prevent the breaker from overloading. Client wanted to know if we could switch wiring around to put kitchen outlet on a different circuit. This is not possible because it would still overload additional circuits. Recommended a dedicated circuit be installed if client wants to use multiple appliances at the same time.Explained to client that any repair or work done is not included in the ANGIE'S List deal. Any other work besides the inspection will be at additional cost. Will do inspection and maintenance visit. MISTER SPARKY SUFFOLK"
Overall, we felt that the electrician was professional and answered all of our questions. The work done to replace the light was done well and price was fair.
The electrician said up front that their prices are high, and claimed it was due to better quality work. However, while there he wrote up a quote of $6,500 to have an electrical panel upgraded. This seemed high to us and we had a few estimates afterward. All were less expensive by a few thousand dollars. In addition, the other estimates included work which the Mr. Sparky electrician did not even mention. For example, we were told that our panel was too close to the gas meter and needed to be moved and that the main power line in the street was too low and needed to be raised. This was not mentioned or factored into the estimate from Mr. Sparky. In the end we went with another electrician and paid $4,000 for the upgrade and other work which Mr. Sparky had not factored in.
